Mack had already offered about a dozen 2019 recruits, according to the Louisville site. Most of them had been offered by X, so Mack is stabbing Xavier in the back in multiple ways. Nice....
you can't put out a DOZEN offers to one class at once. are you serious? what if they all said "yes"?

Mack/pegues/Murray/Mercurio/Jennings all gone. New Coach will have to start over. I had hoped that at least Mercrio (The wizard of the schedule)would stay
Gone....For now. If Steele gets the HC job, I'd offer either Murray or Pegues, whoever doesn't get the Assoc. HC job at L-Ville, that title at X, and promote Mario to an assistant. Christopher better get aggressive, and cant make this a month-long search. I agree a nat'l search is warranted, but everyone at X knew this was coming for months, should he should have a short list in place already.
well one good thing. I asked Mario if he was gone and he said he reason he was in Louisville Mario Mercurio Retweeted Xavier Nation

need to keep the scheduling guru
so why did your original post say all those people were GONE?

why would you post that when the only people we know for sure are gone are Murray and Pegues?

cmon, man.

well it could have been to piss you off but maybe at the time I heard it they were all thinking of leaving. Mario WAS at the Chris announcement and the other did leave(Murray and Pegues). As I said in another post I heard from Mario that he did it as support. It could still mean he is gone if Steele isn't hired and he is just keeping his bridge intact rather than burning it like other have done. Of course I had told you that in a previous post
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Here's the link: https://247sports.com/college/louisvill ... -116769821. And FYI, coaches do this every year, including XU coaches.
Xavier always goes to the NCAA tournament, and almost always makes some noise while there. Projecting anything less than that this season feels like folly--Eamonn Brennan (ESPN Summer Shootaround, 2012)

Sure you can.....first come/first served. He who hesitates gets left behind. Happens all the time that offers are pulled because there is no longer a need. Go to Verbalcommits.com and look at all of the offers that X currently has out for 2019. Several kids in every position. At the same time we hear about kids getting 20-30-40 or more offers from various schools, then trimming the list down to their top 10/5/3, whatever. It all works out in the end.

Kids want to play right away, and the Big East is a nice sell. We may not get our first choices until Travis gets his assistants set and his legs under him, but we'll eventually get a couple who see that there is a chance to play, and hopefully start working towards the next group.

Can't do anything about Mack offering the kids he was recruiting to Xavier. It was bound to happen. I don't see it as backstabbing, it's just the way it goes.

Dartmouth graduate transfer Evan Boudreaux has committed to Purdue, source told ESPN. Averaged 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in 2016-17, decommitted from Xavier when Chris Mack left for Louisville.
We dodged a bullet with this kid. I have a close Ivy League source who said this kid is a rich, whining baby.

Lest we forget, Travis Steele was responsible for a good hunk of Mack's success. anyone disagree with that ?

Really?

Go figure, with all scrutiny highly accomplished players get, I don't think I've read or heard anyone else characterize him that way. I suspect he probably spanked your Ivy League source's team in a game. I'm not necessarily a fan of the self-aggrandizing Tim Tebow, but he has as unstained a reputation as anyone, but you'll still find plenty of detractors. I'd love to have Boudreaux, and am sorry we lost him, but nice to see the tradition of degrading players who reject X for any reason is still alive and well.

Incidentally, I read an article than Hankins is a player other teams like to hate. Despite that, I'm thrilled we got him. I wonder if your friend thinks we should cut the line and throw him back in the water as well?
