Seth Greenburg called the Big East off Broadway. What an insult to one of the best conferences from top to bottom. Didn't he coach V Tech in Blacksburg VA, talk about off Broadway!!

Madness - I guess that Nova hitting 48% of their 3 point was not just HIM and he even said in the half time interview "yea when the shots are falling things REALLY look good. XU got within 3 points and just could not overcome Nova's final run. Mack has taken XU to the highest ranking ever at number four. He also became XU's WINNINGST coach in its history. We are 24 and 4 but I guess you think he had nothing to do with that. You seem to give all other coaches credit but you diss Mack. Now, it may not happen but the experts say that XU still has a shot at a no.1 seed. I guess you know more than them. I'm just glad you do not any say over who our coach is. Go Xavier!

Just another footnote - Xavier is number 3 in the RPI with a SOS of 5. Kenpom has them at number 12. Go Xavier!

while you have a right to your opinion lets be frank, it sucks. My guess if X had hit 48% of their threes, Nova shot like X did from the threes and the score was reverse you would have not given Chris an attaboy. While you think Wright was the driving force of that game and their shooting performance you say last year was a surprise. Your seem to contradict yourself from sentence to sentence. As for JP coming out I guess you didn't watch the game because you are so off on that comment it is almost funny. Madness, you are appropriately named, maybe your only correct time.madness31 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2018 8:30 pmAgree on Scruggs lack of awareness on that play and many others throughout the year. That being said, Mack teams are generally undisciplined and play horrendous defense. The offensive set isn't good either but luckily he recruits enough variety of talent that players are capable of either making deep shots or getting to the rim often enough to win most games.
X will lose 75% of games against Nova until 1 of the teams gets a new coach. Mack is outclassed. Nova has similar talent but an intelligent coach. Mack is fun, maybe even cool but not a strategist. He has some moments with a few intelligent plays but his teams are largely run by his top player or 2 and they have free reign to do as they please. Take a 40' shot and you are a star, all good. Force the action against a triple team but you lead the team in scoring - go for it. Anyone else, are you on fire (JP Macura today to start the game), rotation says you come out - did we just fall behind 10 points? How unfortunate you are no longer "feeling it" when subbed back in.
Truly pathetic coaching today and generally it is the same issue that has been a problem since he became head coach. Congrats on the win % but so much wasted opportunity with Tu and Frease, game against Wisconsin (did we really give the ball to a guy making poor decisions all game to take the final shot - turnover how could anyone expect that to happen), etc. Last year was a surprise but it came on the back of hot shooting, not great coaching.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Looks like that wedgie Chris gave Madness31 must still hurt after all these years.
Mark Twain was wrong. Golf is NOT a good walk spoiled. It is a shared personal experience in a majestic wonderland guided by God, whose name is called frequently during the round.
