say that again, I couldn't hear your crying over all the laughter.

Pitt still had two guys out no matter when they went out. Sure you played lights out in your mind but if a little flu stops Robert he must be soft or maybe he just had a case of Stanley in his shorts tonight. He was running pretty well tonight just Stanley was running better.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Joey,

Stop please.

If...IF....IF....IF....

Brian Roberts hit a low in points because Xavier shut his silly ass down. He forced shots early and hit his first field goal with Stanley on the court at the 15:32 mark in the 2nd half. Once he rolled his ankle that was his ticket to sit the rest of this game out and try to figure out how to beat Richmond. Don't worry about Xavier this weekend because my bet is the Flyers will be out of the top 25 after a rocking in Richmond.

The rest of the Flyers can't shoot so there was no contest. Jimmy B. is pathetic. Period. Huelsman is pathetic. Period.

You my friend, are pathetic. Stop.

How is it Xavier loses to Temple by 20 and nothing is said about that performance? This is just one game I don't think too many UD fans expected to win in light of the injuries that are plaguing this team right now. I think we're disappointed someone didn't step up besides MJ.

Roberts has been rumored to have mono, at the very least a lingering flu that has plagued him for nearly a month now. I think that has more to do with his output than Stanley Burrell or anyone else. He didn't "cramp" up because he was afraid of X, or your Cintas center; it was a smart coaching move to yank him since the game was out of reach and 2 days from now, UD faces another A10 team on the road, and we need him fresher for that game. UD is not the same team that they were early in the season and I don't think I'd be gloating the way you all are now, because likely by March, both CL and CW will be back healthy and hopefully so will Roberts and you'll see the same team the rest of the nation saw in December. It never ceases to amaze me how teams throw 2 or 3 players at Roberts on almost every possession, and then brag about the defense the "primary" defender did on him. If you're so confident of SB's defense, then next time we play, have him play him straight up man to man, no double team. I guarantee he'll score 30 (whether he has mono or not).

do you really believe what you are saying or just trying to talk yourself into an excuse? If you were here after the Temple game you wouldn't have made that comment. We are harder on our team then you guys would be if they were all rapists. BTW I like Gregory in his elevator shoes tonight.

nice response.
again, how well would x do on the road against a good team if lavender were saddled with the flu and brown and duncan were out with broken bones? hell yes it's an excuse as to why ud played poorly tonight. if you can't admit that is a 100% valid excuse then you are just too dense to even bother with.

i remember clearly when thornton broke his foot and x went on to lose (against lasalle, maybe?) there were tons of responses on here about that being a major factor in that loss. i accepted that as totally valid, BECAUSE IT WAS. it's kind of silly to even go on about this with some of you. it's like talking to a child who covers their ears with their hands and goes la-la-la-la-la!!! pointless.

again, i'll stop back by and read your board after you lose to umass on sunday. mm is always entertaining after a loss, and as good as x plays at home, they usually look very poor on the road.

Joey

Ok, I'll bite.

X would suck it up by putting BJ Raymond and his double figure average into the starting lineup.

They would play Graves and Jackson who both outscored every Flyer player except one tonight. Dayton relies on freshman like Wright to carry the team. At Xavier, he would be the 2nd or 3rd man off the bench.

Depth, my son. That is another example of difference between Xavier and Dayton.

I'm not making excuses; UD got beat by an excellent team on their home court. A team that is clearly beginning to play they way they (Xavier) were expected to play this year (preseason #1 A10 team and all that). In UD, we're clearly looking at a team that is going the opposite direction currently. Injuries take their toll even when the injury is to the 6th, 7th or 8th man on the bench, since it affects depth. Now pretend for a minute that Xavier loses 2 of the top 3 players for a month or 8 weeks; (and I know Xaviers got depth also) - you think that your the same team? Chris Wright, even being out as long as he has is still likely to be one of the top freshmen in the A10 - he may still win that award (and he played several games with what we all suspect was a stress fracture). This is just not the same UD team period. Not an excuse, just the fact. No way would Xavier have dominated UD had all players been healthy. UD was not the same team when they beat Pitt as they were in November and early December. It's just a fact, and if you get a chance to see a health CW, you'll know what I mean.

Like dayton did tonight. again is Roberts all you guy have. When X loses it is because they play poorly but you guys were using the ref excuse before the game ever started. I'd say that when Thornton broke his foot it was a "reason" but X turned it around and won without him...you guys use it as an "excuse". I am sad for you guys and hope you can suck it up and try and take Richmond but with all your devastating problems and a dwarf for a coach things are not looking up cryerland. Oh just so you know that is dripping with sarcasm.

The domination od UD is completely dependent on the start of a game. If it's tight thru halftime and 5 minutes into the second half I give the game to the Flyer because I put ZERO trust in Sean Miller and his ability to coach the muskies thru a tough period. Calling OOPS to Derrick Brown, while cute the first play of the game aren;t so smart late against Temple and URI. And in regards to losing two of our bench. They just can;t be of the smame position as UDs were. If X loses two of a position and Duncan can;t come in to bail out a Love in foul trouble or Dante Jackson, who is developing and hitting big shots, has to run the team an entire game Xavier is hurting.

Gotta love UD loser talk. Have a nice Friday in a city that smells like crap with a basketball hangover. See you on Feb. 24th.
