Sundiata Gaines vs. Stanley Burrell

Postby brownlavender » Tue Mar 18, 2008 10:18 pm

This may be Stanley's toughest challenge of the year. This kid is lightning quick off the dribble, can pull up quickly and shoot from anywhere, can make passes like drew and he plays very aggressive on D. This kid is the real deal, he's a 4 year starter who leads the team in assists, steals, points and at 6'1'' leads the team in boards. If stanley can keep his all around game in check we win if not we may be headed for an early oust from the tourney. Here's hoping "Mr Glue" can keep him contained all day.

We are dead meat! Over on the A-10 board, the esteemed basketball sage, Lieberman, has already remarked that Stan will get into early foul trouble and have a miserable game, the Muskies bowing out in the first round.

I think we should save ourselves the embarrassment and just not send the team to play the game.
Fathers James Hoff and Michael Graham, AD Mike Bobinski, and Head Coaches Staak, Gillen, Prosser, Matta, Miller, & Mack represent a Golden Era of Xavier Men's Basketball. AD Christopher and Head Coach Steele will bring us to an even higher level!

Didn't they say that about

Brian Roberts 3 xs
Eric Gordon
Chris Lofton
Deonta Vaughn
Darnell Harris
Sean Singletary
Jimmy Baron
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Sounds like UGA relies a lot on this dude. Maybe we can get HIM in foul trouble.

Great point, Drudy. He does tend to get in early foul trouble and has fouled out of his last 2 games.
