down 11 with 3 plus to go mean not much room for misses at X's end.
Agree...making a better % of FT's would have made the game closer but not enough to put X in the W column.

Cliff Clavin wrote:Thats true they usually play well at home but because they are playing the games of their respective seasons. Today they are beating X because their coach coached, their player wanted to win, and they hit their free throws. This is a bad loss because of how X played not because they lost by double digits o UD.
Well said. Hawaii redux.

13 pt lead w/ under 2 to play. X just played UD even in 2H.

He would be a better asset for Dayton because they actually pass the ball, move well and get good spacing on the court. That concept has seem to escaped Mack.
Redford also just hit a 3....too little too late.

Seems they had their starters on to the end. Hmmm. Thought that was a no no in coaching.

Isn't UD not even at full strength-uh oh. Bad game offense, defense, coaching, FT shooting, and overall team play. UD showed X a lot. They move the ball, share the ball, shoot the ball, and play great D. I think X wins at Cintas but on a neutral court, UD is better-just too fast. Team play wins games and X seems to consist of 2 one on one players and three role players. As I said when X was 8-0 and I said when they were 8-4-this team isn't a top ten team but I thought they were top 25. Don't see it but they are what they are. UD is a top 25 team-at least today. Hope X takes care of biz at home but will be close vs SLU and UD.

Best and only highlight of today: X player's very gracious in congratulating Dayton. Bad and good about this game being on tv: we embarassed ourselves on the court, but teams contemplating hc changes saw that coaching prowess in the Miller clan is not a 1 trick pony.

The guy can flat out coach. Doubt he'll be at Dayton more than 3 yrs.
