Interesting omission in Miller's postgame comments

Postby Mr. Neutral » Sat Mar 08, 2008 9:43 pm

Not a thing about Lavender. Very complimentary of Duncan and Burrell, called them the team leaders, mentioned Raymond and Jackson, but nothing whatsoever about Lavender.

Don't know if we should read anything into it, but I think it's a little odd.

Good lord. Can we just leave the Drew situation alone? This horse was dead long ago.

What's he supposed to say, the guy didn't play? During the game on FSN Ohio, they had a segment where Sean had high praise for Drew and they also had a player spotlight on Drew prior to the game. Also, during the game they showed Drew several times smiling, giving high fives and active during timeouts. All is well on Victory Parkway.

Lets be honest, no matter if he addresses the situation or doesn't, there are going to be a number of people on here going overboard about it. It's almost comical at this point.

My bet is that Drew's leg is actually broken in 10 places and the he'll never play another game of basketball for the rest of his life. I'm basing this off of the fact that our coach did not make his weekly "State of Drew's Ankle" address.

I enjoyed the clips they showed of him playing in high school also.

It's just what somebody thinks ...

Those were cool. He looked like he was 12 years old.

Odd?

Lack of a snide comment from you is what would have been "odd."

Charles, I don't know what Drew's injury situation is, and it's very possibly/likely he didn't play tonight as a cautionary measure.

But when Miller was talking extensively about the seniors who finished up their regular season careers tonight, that would have been the time to mention Lavender along with Duncan and Burrell. Miller didn't, and I just thought it was curious. If you don't think that not mentioning our senior PG who also finished his regular-season career tonight is odd, that's fine.

Wise, there was nothing whatsoever "snide" either implied or intended in my comments above, except in your virtually always-incorrect brain.

Sean was commenting on the players that played 4 years for X, he said it was a pleasure to watch them grow for 4 years.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
