Whose's the best NBA prospect in our senior class?

I know it's March and we are getting ready to start March Madness (or have we started the Madness?), but, who do you think is Xavier's best NBA prospect among our three seniors? I believe it's Josh Duncan first with his outside game and dribble penetration for a 6-9 guy. I would have to go with Drew as the second Xavier senior to get a shot in "The League". There have been several diminuative points in the NBA and I believe with the right team, he could be back-up point for four to six years. Finally, our best defender, Stanley should get some serious looks. Stan has Larkin size (though a better defender) and the NBA wanted Lark to play point in the NBA which never materialized. I do see Stan having a long career overseas playing in a top tier league.

Duncan is probably the best "prospect" because of his size and shooting ability. Lavender would be great if he were taller than six foot. Burrell won't ever step foot on a NBA court. Yeah he played good defense in college, but the NBA is an offensive game, and this is something Stanley lacks. His shot is horrible and he isn't the best dribbler. Not fast enough to play the point in the pros.

Duncan's the obvious answer. Lavender and Burrell will log as many NBA minutes as me-zero. They're obviously solid, productive college players, but have neither the size nor game to play in the NBA. Possibly overseas, and even that's not a given. Drew's a short streak-shooting PG and Stanley's a small SG with an offensive game that's pretty much disappeared. You don't get pro jobs by being a 6'2" stopper.

I don't think any of the seniors has much of a chance of playing in NBA.Brown is probably the best prospect on the team.

I agree with the last comment, none of the seniors will be in the NBA. Duncan? No way. He's only ok on this team. Brown will be the next NBA player from X.

None of the seniors will be. Duncan has the body but not skill. Drew and Stan are simply too short. DBrown will be interesting, right now he would probably be a guy undrafted and getting invited to camps but likely not an NBA candidate. He needs to develop an elite skill to get that far. His athleticism is a bonus, but he isn't really "big" enough to play the 4, he doesn't handle the ball well enough to play the 3, and he doesn't shoot the ball well enough to play the 2. Really because of his size and athleticism if he develops into a good on the ball defender then he he'll have a shot at playing the 2 or 3 in the league.
A good person to compare Brown to for their NBA prospectus is James White from UC. White is probably one of the best, if not the best, all around athlete to play college basketball the past 10 years. He could jump higher, and was faster than Brown. Their size is roughly comparable (Brown has 2 inches), but White was a better shooter. White was on the active roster for the San Antonio Spurs the second half of last season (but never played). The reason being was that he couldn't play on the ball defense. People as athletic as Brown and White and are at that size are everywhere in the NBA. The ones that can make it are the ones that can play solid on the ball d. (See Posey and Toronto's Jamario Moon).
I know what are you thinking, but they don't play defense in the NBA. But outside of the Golden State Warriors, they do. The difference is the rules and the caliber of players. The NBA game is 8 minutes longer than the college game plus has a shot clock that is 11 seconds faster, that speeds up the game and allows more scoring. There is also defensive 3 seconds, so a big can't just block the lane all day long, and since the 3 point line is further back that spreads the game out a lot more. The major thing though is the quality of player in the NBA is much greater, these are guys that can play and can shoot. It doesn't matter how good a defense is, if Kobe can still just pull up from 18 feet and knock down a jumper over 3 guys. Defense still matters though, and that is the only way DBrown is going to make it.

Biff, Lets not forget that DBrown still has 2 years of college ball left. WHen it is all said and done, he will have just as good a jump shot as James White. He's a great rebounder for his size and will only become better handling the ball and becoming a posey like slasher.

? was seniors so repost in 2 years on d brown. not every senior from X could match up with the NBA culture. now in 2 years, with a lot of hard work, if jason love were from say transylvokia?
