If anyone should be upset...

Postby Xman95 » Fri Mar 07, 2008 1:29 am

...it's the Hawk fans. Tonight's game was an example of what St. Joe's players are capable of, but they haven't done it consistently. They're talented, create plenty of match-up problems for opponents and have a great coach. There's really no reason for this team to not be locked into the Big Dance and at least flirting with the Top 25.

Exactly. This isn't the St. Joe's team I watched last thursday against SLU. They didn't seem like the realized that they even had a game that day. It really annoys me that the way teams play against us is not the same way they play every game. I know people get up to play us, and that goes along with the territory, but if every team did that for every game we would have our 4 or 5 teams looking at the tourny right now.

Dayton, RI, UMASS and St Joe are all disappointing when it comes to their consistency in the league schedule. What was 5 teams going to the dance is now 2.

Dayton had no depth to overcome the two injuries even though Little has been back for a while. RI was a lock and now has played themselves out. St. Joe is making a run but the X win is their only good win. UMASS too has played themselves to the bubble.

What had been such a good season for the A10 is now another 2 bid season IMO. It's too bad as the league was starting to get some respect.
