Odia back to a non-factor
After getting fairly substantial PT for a stretch, Church only played 2 minutes on Oregon's 10-pt. loss to UCLA today.

He was another whatshisname's super recruits ... along with Dedrick ... two PG's who just flat couldn't play.

Wise, without Finn we don't make the elite 8. However, I will give you that he certainly regressed during his time at X. It was a shame he couldn't stay straight, but at the same time made me very proud X had the values to kick a starting sr. pg off the team with only a handful of games left and a chance to make the tourney.
Also, I commend Finn for finishing his degree.
One last time, Finn is a seller of drugs if memory serves me correctly. what a shame.

I don't get why someone would want to take the time to point this out ?
The kid is gone.
It didn't work out.

I know there's a diference of opinion but I always like to hear how transfers do at their new school. The same will be true for Wolf next year.
As for Finn, he was ok when he was at the 2 guard, but he didn't have the speed to play point. He also couldn't shoot on the run very well.

bleed, it's not out of vindictiveness, or a desire to gloat. We routinely post about former coaches and players, including transfers. If he was lighting up at Oregon, that would get posted as well.
If we ignore every X player once they leave X (for whatever reason), then we should also ban any posts about what West, Posey, Chalmers, Sato, are doing as well.

I remember the bomb he made against Mississippi St. But didn't he make another fairly long shot at the end of the half against Texas?Masterofreality wrote:Except at the end of halves of NCAA Tournament games.XU 87 wrote: As for Finn, he was ok when he was at the 2 guard, but he didn't have the speed to play point. You might be thinking of LC, 87. This from the Xavier website game archives---
<<The Musketeers took their first lead of the contest at 32-30 with 4:30 left in the first half with a three-pointer on a fast break by Chalmers. XU carried the momentum into the locker room with a 44-41 lead at the break. >>
Finn finished with 11 pts., including 2 FT's at the end of that 79-71 game. I remember watching that game in a big sports bar in Myrtle Beach, and my buddy asked at one point "do you get this involved for EVERY game?", to which I responded, "yeah, pretty much".

I still have some vague recollection that Finn hit a long jumper at the half time buzzer.
