First off, all the credit in the world to X for beating us Monday. Down the stretch, you hit the big time shots despite good defense and did what a #10 team should do. You took over and took the game.
But for the record, I was right about our depth. We put 77 points on you and took you to the wire with Jimmy Baron going 0-7. And again, that was your doing, not him having a bad night. Burrell was in his jersey all night and is by far the best on the ball defender I have seen all year.
On to the point of this post.
I want to let you all know that you should watch the URI/UMASS game tomorrow. The Ryan Center is going to be packed, and just as loud and just as rowdy as the X game. In fact, as of 8:00pm tonight, URI students have already set up tents and are camping out until they release student tickets at 10am tomorrow, so that gives you a glimpse as to how intense this crowd will be. Not to mention that you have 2 rivals going at it in what should be a good game.
It may be superfluous, but I think that URI wins by 7-10 points tomorrow. If I have to pick a score, make it 80-70
Just a reminder that the game can be seen nationally on ESPN tomorrow night.

Er, most of us will be following the Muskies, Runnie. We're playing Duquesne, you know. The 10,000 of us at the Cintas will check you out on the scoreboard in the Bubble Elimination Game. But thanks for thinking of us.

Runnin, I saw that on the TV schedule but decided to DVR the X game instead. Unless they pipe the game into Cintas I must go with my guys above and say next time.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

not to disagree that URI has good depth and XU has experienced Coach Barron's better teams at St Bonnie, but I hoped you noticed more than 50% XU points were off its bench including the 2 top scorers that night Duncan & BJ.

Hopefully URI wins this game. They need a good win to aid their NCAA hopes and I think they have a better chance than UMASS of an at large bid.

Re: URI v UMASS
WHO DO WE WANT TO WIN THIS GAME? Umass 5-5 and RI 6-5. I genuinely like both of these programs and wish them both well. We have road wins vs both. If Umass somehow gets in the tourney and does damage, Ford could be an IU cand. Whats the worst case scenario for Dayton in terms of this game. I dislike Dayton to a fault. If thats a sin then damnit, I'm a sinner and will answer to Peter at the Pearly Gates.
UD up 30-21 at half at Lasllle.

That game is on ESPN2 and I swear that the HD stream looks just as good as the regular FSNO stream. It makes me think that even the TV streams are old fashioned in New England.
The actual game appears to be a good contest.
