Who do you start? Dante at point so Burrell can focus on D, especially Jimmie Barron? Or, Stan at point with BJ as the other guard? I say roll the dice and rest Drew as much as possible for the deep run in March.
From Dustin's blog:
Drew Lavender's ankle injury sustained in the Charlotte game is apparently serious enough that he's on the no-go list for media availability tomorrow because he'll be getting treatment either the ankle, his left thumb or both. He's a little banged up right now, but he's also of the mentality that if he can walk and dribble (with at least one hand), he can play. Miller wasn't joking when he said after the Charlotte game that Lavender's ankle injury might have caused most players to miss the rest of the game....Regardless, it looks like Dante Jackson's importance could increase next week if Xavier needs to rest Lavender for longer periods.

Re: Drew's Injuries
We've been fortunate to not have any injury problems up til now.I hope this isn't the type of thing that will bother him the rest of the year.Once we get to March we are going to need everyone healthy-especially Drew. He's probably the guy we can least afford to lose.

Re: Drew's Injuries
sounds like a good idea. jackson needs to stay out of foul trouble, too. tends to be so tweaked up, but i trust him to step up if called on. the rest of the team will go into all for 1 mode..xubball93 wrote:Who do you start? Re: Drew's Injuries
As much as I want a win at RI, I'd rather have a healthy Drew. This stinks, but its part of the game. Rest Drew for the next week if necessary.
