Re: Portal
All Wright's teammate, Cooper Schweiger, a 6"10" Soph, had even better numbers.

ALL RIGHT, ALL RIGHT, ALL WRIGHT welcome

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Portal
All Wright is a nice pick up. Scoring 15 points a game as a freshman is very unusual. Sucks that Traore is leaving. I was hoping he would stay. Can't believe Anderson is staying. I believe he is a California guy. Looking forward to the next couple of weeks.

Re: Portal
Very disappointed that Lassina Traore is leaving. He sounded on the podcast with the former coach like the kind of person we want to have at Xavier. I hope he does well. I can hope that perhaps his leaving now may be because an as yet unannounced talented center is going to be transferring to X.

Creighton lands two big Iowa fish in Owen Freeman (B10 Freshman of the year) and Josh Dix (14 pts/game and 42%+ from 3).

Re: Portal
Anthony Robinson, 6'10" athletic big from VA, just committed. I wanted him even more than Wright. He was a 4-star freshman who didn't play much: 10 min/gm, 3.6 pts, 2.4 rb., but the few times I saw him, the announcers noted his potential. Among other teams interested were ND, Kansas, Stanford, and Miami.
He seems to have a high motor and the ability to switch on high ball screens (again, in the few times I saw him play), something that Freemantle never could grasp, as great as he was. It will also be nice to have a shot-blocking presence.
No huge splashes yet, but I think a couple will be coming. X needs more shooters, and a wing who can break down the D and score on 3 levels. I like the philosophy so far with Pitino's team construction.

Another good pick up. Robinson is the shot blocker we need to anchor our defense. Way to go Pitino.
