Georgetown 0-18 in the BE

Postby Xavier2005 » Fri Mar 04, 2022 10:34 am

Obviously Xavier is at a low point now. The biggest low point now would be losing to Georgetown, who is 0-18 in the BE now. X needs not only to win, but win big.

one thing is for sure - G'town dudes aren't giving up on Ewing. took Seton Hall down to the wire this week.

if we find a way to lose to G'town on senior night, AT HOME, then i would just tell the BE that we forfeit our tourney game and any chance at the NCAA's. just pack it up and go home.

This won't be easy. It's hard to go winless. Plus their incentive to win for Ewing in what could be the end for him.

feel like i already read that they are not getting rid of Ewing. now maybe that was just his statement on wanting to stay, wanting to get this program back to what it once was, etc. but i thought i read that the admin wasn't going to fire him.

maybe i'm wrong.

They did make it to the NCAA Tourney last year, which we cannot say has happened with our fearless leader. GU can shoot from 3, which does not bode well for our perimeter defense especially when Free and Scruggs always seem to be out of position.

For those that like to dabble with the bookie, or online, X is a 12.5 fave at the moment. Shocking honestly. Last night it was 12, meaning $$ has been coming in on X..? Hell, X could, and maybe should win by 18+ tonight. But as I stated on another post, I sense some camaraderie issues lurking within our beloved Muskies. Anyway, I have placed a dime against X last 9 games and have covered 8 of 9. So going back to the well taking those lofty dozen plus the glorious hook. Hoping like hell X wins by 11 or 12 baby!!! Just still perplexed as to why Vegas has been this slow to the punch bowl on X.

Sorry X-Luc.

X by 15 tonight. Three reasons: Sr. Night (Scruggs will go off),X plays one of the worst teams in all of cbb (don't let the SH game fool you), and law of averages. May I also say how off putting it is to learn of your bet against the X Men? Just because I'm 4-2 in games I wagered against them is beside the point. For the record, only once was it impossible for X to win while I covered. That was last week against the Jonnies (-1.5).

AH, ha..! Honestly feel X may bust out tonight and would bring a smile to my soul. I am obviously playing with house money at this point so will still be up several units if your hunch is correct. Hopefully a "W' of any flavor tonight will bolster any morale/confidence possible issues and allow us to steam into NY on a united mission.
