First- need help. Flew in late last eve from biz trip and missed game. Have had no time to try and watch a replay. I believe there was some incident with Freemantle, maybe a tech foul or some pouting? Can someone briefly recap what if anything occurred. (much appreciated and sorry to have to ask)
* As for game, not having seen it, seems like an Aerosmith song: 'Same old Song & Dance'
- Lousy start
- inconsistent offense
- Can't quite climb the hill
Maybe there were more revelations but again, I only see box score and game flow chart. That said, bottom line: If we had not puked the bed versus DePaul, this competitive loss at Seton hall would not have even been an issue at all....
i'll do my best here.

all things considered or what you may read, we didn't play "bad". people may say that we aren't prepared or didn't play with energy but that's not what i saw. Free struggled in the first half (i don't think he hit a shot) and no one else really picked up the slack at all. we should have only been down like 5 or so at half but we once again, can't make bunnies.

we come out from half with great energy and chipped away immediately. didn't even have a turnover in the 2nd half until like the last 5 minutes or so. we went 3-10 from the line to start the 2nd half so that didn't help in chipping away at the lead. Freemantle, in my opinion, got screwed by the refs. I'm not sure how you call a double foul when the dude has Freemantle by the arm, doesn't let go, and just falls to the ground because Freemantle is trying to get down the court. Free stood there for a second, then tried to walk away (he stepped over the dude at that point, which is why he got the T, i believe, but he did it right when the guy was trying to stand up so it make it look worse than it was.) the double foul call was awful. the T was Free's fault. just walk away, dude.

Scruggs was a net positive but still had some mind boggling plays in the last 6 minutes, the one being the cross court pass that was stolen. we had the ball and only down 5 at that point. they came down and scored in transition there. 7 pt game. game over. that's a 4th grade turnover right there. you simply CAN'T throw that pass when you're a 5th year senior.

in the end, we just didn't do enough to win and SH made their tough shots when they had their opportunities. we didn't.

good to see Edwards contribute.

Thanks 'skip. You painted a perfect picture. Sounds like a solid effort by our men and just missed a few to many close-in shots and FT's to be able to beat a solid team on the road. Again, you take care of business at home versus DePaul, and this game gives you zero to be concerned about... Thx again

Don’t forget being out rebounded on the offensive glass in first have 10-0. Also, Freemantle and Hunter laughing on the bench after he fouled out.

I agree with some of what Skip said but he misses the point on why X lost. It wasn't a lack of effort. It was bad game management by the coach. Free was terrible. Him fouling out was a positive but coach opted to play both Nate and Kunkel when Free went out. Neither were shooting well. Odom was playing well. Travis eventually switched it up but that was a stupid initial decision. If either of those guys were shooting well then it is a perfectly fine choice.

Prior to Free fouling out, why was he playing so much? I believe Nunge started the game hot and he got pulled while Free stayed in. Why pull the hot hand unless he is in foul trouble or not defending? Neither were true.

X lost this game primarily because of terrible game management by the coach.
