Georgetown Game Thread

Postby Anti-Homer » Sun Mar 01, 2020 1:32 pm

Second time around, so not a lot of pre-game analysis needed. X seems like they'll be getting a big boost with either one or both of Georgetown's best players missing in their center Yurt, and PG McClung. That's based solely on the fact that the line has moved from even, to X-2.5 in the last 12 hours. Georgetown will obviously push the pace, and try and dribble drive to the hole as opposed to chucking up a lot of threes, because X has been shown to be vulnerable to both. I also doubt they'll pressure due to their short bench.

X wins 73-68.

Five threes and Naji hero-balling with 4 straight negative plays. TY hasn't touched it once. Horrible IQ by Coach and players. If low IQ ball was a metric used in the NET, X would be slotted in as a two seed now.

Tandy is dandy 2 triples
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Zac is very good on offense. Unfortunately, he is equally poor on D. Ty with 3 straight bad halves. GEORGRTOWN HAS TWO WALK ONS PLAYING. Need tY to step up. Horrible showing on national TV.

They are shorthanded and no TO or anything. Carter is playing again like Jimmy Carter and Jones has no hands.

Really, you are going to knock Carter the way Jones is playing?

X has miss after miss, turnover after turnover, gives up a run, even has the ball which could effectively run out the half-time clock and X never uses the time out. That is on Coach Steele and his staff and is inexplicable.

Why Chitown? This team is a well oiled machine. They have 7 assists and 12 turnovers against a shorthanded team who has played zone virtually the whole game. When you have Marshall as the point forward, you know only good things will happen. I'm sure any committee member watching has to be thoroughly impressed.
