Well...at least X didn''t get beat by 20.
But their low BB IQ surfaced the last 12 minutes.

I remember a lot of missed bunnies in the second half so someone was inside. 15 threes and X loses by 10.mumuskie87 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:46 pmMaybe but X did not stay with what was working - going inside.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Played 3 minutes in 2H.
Welage makes a 3 and then goes to the bench.
I thought Steele called a good game with two exceptions: Too little Hankins and Welage. Jones' numbers were good, but Hankins was literally unstoppable when he was in, and didn't give up rebounds due to a lack of effort. Castlin played ok, but when you need points, you have to go with your best 3 point shooters. It was still the best game X played at Nova. They didn't play scared for a change. Hopefully, that is a reflection on Steele.

Well Jones went 7-14 from 2 and Marshall went 4-9 from 2.
Castlin went 0-3 in the 2H.
I'm still puzzled why Hankins only played 3 minutes in the 2H after going 6-7 in the 1H, particularly after Cosby-Roundtree picked his 4th foul.

Jones needs to limit his two handed slamma jammas. His last one was blocked when the ball was behind his head.

let's hope they return the favor at Cintas. Nova average 10.3 made threes a game but have to shoot 15 made against X and a number were contested very well. 10 three and X wins but it didn't happen. Too bad because this was a game X could have gotten a WAnti-Homer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:53 pmYea,mumuskie87 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:42 pmDid Hankins get hurt?

I agree. He is missing shots he could dunk and duking with that behind the head style that was blocked tonight. Shooting 50% from the field when you are two feet from the basket is not good.

Re: Nova Game Thread 1-18-19
One thing for sure, X is playing better each and every week, against better competition. I have to give Steele a lot of credit. As a moderator it is probably a good time for me to chastise some ankle breaking posters on this board, who relentlessly criticized my coach. No need to call out names, as that's beneath me. As Shadow can attest, i had dozens of names i submitted for a time out during our weekly conference calls, but he talked me out of it, I think due to pressure from the advertisers. Despite my disdain for fair weathered fans, take comfort in the knowledge that AH's hand is out to pull you back onto the bandwagon.
