281 out of 351 teams time to
X is ranked 281st out of 351 in making 3 point shots, while in the top 70s for team scoring and made shots. Just think how good that top 70 scoring and shots made would be if they just stopped shooting 3s or make more of the 3s. Until they can make lots more 3s...stop shooting them. X does best taking a 2 point shot or driving into the paint for better shots or dunks. The 3 point shot is killing X and making it hard to win.

soooooo IF you stop shooting 3 pointers how do you know when they can start making them?
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I'll try and respond though I inexplicably started shaking uncontrollably after reading your response. I remember Jalen Reynolds banking home a trey three years ago. If I recall correctly, he only took one or two more the rest of the year, usually when X had a big lead. However, by your logic, he should have kept shooting them because making one showed he had the potential to make more. Am I following you?
Also, the point wasn't that X shouldn't stop shooting treys, just that the horrible shooters (anyone not named Welage, Scruggs, or Harden) should be very judicious and limit their attempts.

understand the point here but you have to still shoot them or defense will just sag even more. However, i would certainly be selective in who takes the most 3s which i believe they have done the last few games. Goodin is a decent player but is only a double threat offensively. I believe Welage should have the green light and Scruggs is a very smart player and typically only takes good shots. Marshall and Goodin should continue to be reeled in. Marshall hit a key 3 yesterday on his way to a 1-7 (I believe) 3 point shooting day. In all honesty, Goodin and Marshall shooting 3s is similar to a turnover however, they still need to shoot a couple to keep defense honest.
Castlin isn't a great shooter but knocked down a key 3 as did Hardin vs GT hitting two
