Once Coach K retires,Wright will be regarded as the best coach in the game,if he isn't already.Ultimately that's great for our league.
this i agree with. they have set the standard for the Big East and it will be tough to catch them as long as Jay is there. since the new BE started, they are basically the UConn women of this league, just not as many wins (or blowout wins) but pretty darn close to that.

Or he might then be the coach at Duke!

Why would he want to follow a legend when he can be one at Nova. What was DUKE before K? Look at coaches that have followed legends...UCLA, Indiana, etc.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Heard an except from an interview with Jay today. He said nothing could be better. Coaching in his home town. His wife attended Villanova. Didn't sound like he had any interest in the NBA or other college sites. And Nova is young. Depends who leaves early, but they could be a potential #1 again next year.

Villanova = Veg-O-Matic. They slice and dice in many ways.

Maybe some year X will WIN the Big East regular season championship...OH WAIT!

A little ahead of where X is right now.....

Never an NCAA champion, but runner up a couple of times, some final 4 and elite 8 appearances, and several times a conference champion. They were especially good in the first part of the 1960’s and late 1970’s.

I certainly NO Duke fan, and not a fan of coach K, but they certainly aren’t just about him. They have history.

they embarrassed us twice and won a national title. let me ask - which banner would you rather hang at Cintas? a reg season BE Champ banner or Nat. Champ banner?

i don't even know why i asked. i know the answer. Nova does, too.

I like the challenge to dethrone Nova. Right now I am happy they redeemed the BE in the tourney and the set a standard that every team in the BE should try and beat because when they do the league will just get better. I also like they add to the treasure chest ($) of tourney wins

Apparently Wright has said he won't coach at another COLLEGE. However, that leaves the door open for going to the NBA. Have to see. With his ties to Philly I would guess if the 76ers job came open he might be interested.
