Our little friend Mick
Caught a clip of Cronin's postgame presser on the 6 o'clock news. Among other interesting topics, he made mention to their fans "to look around and see what's going on" and they "should be thankful"on how the Cincinnati program is being run. After much thought I think he must be making reference to his good friend Rick Pitino and the legacy he is leaving behind at Louisville?

He was at UC when Dan Fortson (and others) was driving around in a Lexus. Insiders at UC know what dirty little things Mick had to do for Huggins. His bloated brother is going off on twitter. Anything to distract from Mick's underachievement at UC.

Re: Our little friend Mick
His entire answer was so bizarre, mick Cronin is rally becoming a caricature.
He was asked why he always talks about defense when clearly it's ucs offense that struggles. He responded that he can answer their questions any way he want. Then he said that Louisville, Kentucky, and Indiana have combined for 32 losses this season (which he knew without looking up which is strange). He then said to check how many years it's taken him to accrue 32 losses (huh?). Then said the line above about how "uc is not perfect but you all should be very happy about how the cincinnati basketball program is run."
Ha okay mick.

Re: Our little friend Mick
Spot on Lionel. Anyone recall Herb Jones- who magically received a nice "part-time" job 1st year on campus making over $60k. Recall Jelly Jones, I believe he ran a video store in Clifton after his playing days where magically current Bearcats would be clocked in and out without actually showing up for work..... Many big time programs have skeletons in their closet Micky. STFU and coach your team. Do you all remember after one loss in the Big East about 7 years ago, Mick blurts out in the post game presser that XU would not even finish 7th in the BE. (X was dominating the A-10 once again that year) He just can't help himself. A prior poster nails it, he just happens to cough up that 32 game stat on the fly......? Silly and screams of the mental failings of a former French Emperor. C-Mack has his faults, but overall, Chris is a pretty relatable dude that gets his men ready to play and compete and carry themselves & the program in an upbeat respectable manner. Were I a UC fan, I would be embarrassed at the way Mick cries and bemoans just about every aspect of his plight in life. The world is laughing at you Mick.

Re: Our little friend Mick
Wow...several posters making up rumors about UC and illegal benefits to former players.
Lets hear what kind of dirt you have on your beloved Muskies. If you know so much about UC, I can't imagine the details you have about X and their indiscretions.
With X in the FBI and NCAA crosshairs, now seems like a good time to discuss.

Might we have touched a nerve Sweet...? I mentioned in my post that X was not perfect and that many other big time programs have played around with the regulations to their advantage. It is your beloved coach that brings up this topic in a post gm pressor without being prompted Sweet. It is the Mick'ster that makes it a point to boast about being above the fray dude. You make it sound like I am tossing out rumors willy-nilly. I actually know a few big time UC players from the 90's. They are great guys and very friendly and honest about the craziness that went on back in "the day". A day when I am sure this kind of silliness was rampant around the NCAA D-1 spectrum. Never said X was clean as a whistle.
Once again, it's your dog who is barking the loudest right now Sweet. Give him a bone and tell him to concentrate on maybe making a rare appearance back in the Elite Eight eh.

Do you really want a mudslinging contest with the history of UC and XU? That's pretty bold.
Just because the Mickster is allergic to the sweet 16 and you play in a glorified high school league should not have you delusional.
Envious yes, delusional no.
As for your little Napoleon big mouth who only lost 32 games or whatever the F he is spouting, do the math on the following. If CM and MC were each paid a salary of $2mil a year since hired ( Mick makes more as we know) and each retroactively opted out of that contract to one that paid them $2mil per NCAA tournament win ( not appearance) and that only, what would the outcome be for each school and coach. Hint, Mick would be writing a big check back to UC and Mack would be buying a home in the Hamptons.

Re: Our little friend Mick
As a Xavier fan, we all know that Mick is really not a very good coach. He goes out of his way to schedule the weakest non conference schedule as possible every year to inflate his overall win total. He has not produced against good teams and has done very little in the dance.
Having said all that, he did rebuild a program and has UC at the top or near the top of a league very comparable to the A10. Coaches like that are usually named for every big time coaching vacancy, yet Mick is rarely mentioned for jobs in the SEC, B10, ACC or PAC. Does the rest of the country see Mick as XU fans do or is there another reason why he is not at least mentioned for these types of jobs that are open every year?
Every March experts do a blind comparison for two or three teams vying for one of the last 4 NCAA at large bids. Can you imagine if you did a blind comparison of coaches for say the Louisville job:
Coach A:
Former Louisville assistant coach
Semi-finalist for coach of the year for 2017/18 season
Current team projected as #2 or #3 seed for 2018 Tournament
Won 30 games during the 2016/17 season

Re: Our little friend Mick
I totally agree with paragraph 2. At the time of Huggins departure I wanted Mick to get the job and he did bring it from the ashes.
The flip side is that every time I hear him speak it drives me nuts. it would have been great if he broke free of his handlers and attacked JP. I could see JP knocking him out with one good punch.
