Re: Mack to...
None of us knows what the future holds. Let's enjoy season before we worry about next. I hope Mack stays, and no doubt if he leaves it will be at least a short term setback. But I have faith that we will get another successful coach (and that we as fans will probably over react to any lost in the first two or three years of a potential new coaches career here)
Mack has done a great job for X, and if he leaves, I will wish him the best (as long as he isn't facing a Big East school). I would hope all X fans would do the same.

You’re not going to hit homerun every time. Sometimes you’re going to foul out to the 1st baseman. Some will say certain fans lost respect and character by giving up on the team after 6 straight losses.

I don’t recall Gillen losing respect or his character being questioned when he brought in Mo Brantley nor the same with Prosser when he brought in Aaron Turner and Lloyd Price.

Xavier has always gotten a pass for player behavior and questionable recruits.MOSQUETERO wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2018 5:51 pmI don’t recall Gillen losing respect or his character being questioned when he brought in Mo Brantley nor the same with Prosser when he brought in Aaron Turner and Lloyd Price.

You need to lay off the “sweet” leaf 67. Eddie couldn’t abide by the rules, so he got the boot.

Above is news report on Ekiyor. Based on that report, I think making any statements about lack of his lack of character would be a stretch. The kid made a stupid mistake and probably panicked when he collided with a cyclist He paid the price for his mistake. He expressed remorse and apologized. I would have been happy to have him play for XU. I certainly did not lose respect for Mack!

My apologies.
No wonder this board is almost dead.
If you say something negative, despite being truthful, you are threatened with a ban.
You dont think the Ekiyor situation and bringing him to campus caused issue with some in the administration?
You probably also think the team just "ripped out an old water fountain at Butler."
Let me guess, Kelsey left out of the blue just because he needed a break.

Re: Mack to...
I do know the stories on both Kelsey and Eddie. Eddie was a behavior problem since he walked on campus and left because he couldn’t follow the rules, that happens. Kenny Frease ripped out a water fountain because they got hosed, they paid for it big deal. Kelsey situation similar to Keith Bostic oh well. X has had their issues no doubt however hardly compares to UC the last 30 years. The stories on Huggins alone?

Re: Mack to...
So clearly Sweet 67 is a UC troll. I don't know why he would come on this board. His team has a SOS 147 and ranked 11th. they have a tough game against CMU Wednesday after that tough first half against south florida. UC should be proud being voted among top 5 mid-majors of 2018.sweet67 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2018 1:11 pm1st sentence I quoted is a stretch.Theology73 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 5:26 pmPerhaps he enjoys being the most respected member of his home town's sports community. Perhaps the relationships he has developed his entire life in Cincinnati are a larger factor in his decision-making process than the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow that does not contain any of the other things that make him fulfilled and happy. I hope he stays at X until he retires. His character and background give me hope that this is possible, maybe even probable.
Mack lost some respect and character points both within X and outside when he decided to bring Eddie Ekiyor to campus. That was absolutely ridiculous.
