Ranked 147 SOS and 193 RPI UC no ranking deserved

The University of Cincinnati men's basketball schedule is full or non competitive teams, except for one exception.....they played Xavier and X blew UC off the court. UC deserves no poll rankings and does not deserve to be in the top 68 field for the NCAA Tournament. UC's conference is super weak and yet UC schedules a very weak non conference schedule. UC's strength of schedule is currently 147th and their RPI is 193. The only reason they make the Dance is because their conference is so weak.

According to realtimerpi, it's 37--which seems to have been done with smoke and mirrors. Still, it could get them into the field.

In addition, KenPom lists Xavier's win over UC as a Tier-A victory.

Unless they completely implode, they're in and deserve to be. They don't have many quality wins, but Cronin was smart for a change and scheduled some good teams ooc, even though they didn't beat many, as they lost to X and Fla. Their league isn't very good, but they were very fortunate to get a very good Wichita St in. Regardless, it is still only a 3 bid league in all probability, but they could lose both games to WSU, and still make the tourney, if they hold serve against the rest of the teams.

They would be in 7 -9 seed territory, however, and out the 1st weekend, which is customary.

Die hard X fan, but dont understand fans hating on other local schools. UC is top 30 plus Rpi. The league has former BE power UConn, A10 power Temple, MVC power Wichita & CUSA power Memphis. Throw in SMU, Houston, former BE S Fla (who was better than Depaul) & possibly best league outside Power 5 & BE. Fans of X as old as me, watching since 1960, can see how we are now what we hated. When we were in MCC & A10 we didn't like the power schools & conferences demeaning us or our leagues. Now look at us being snobby to other schools-leagues. Rooting for UC & NKU except vs X. Don't shame David cause we see is now as Goliath. Remember where we came from

Kenpom today has UC at 8 & X at 17. Don't agree or care. Put up or shut up in March. Respect all teams. You cant win if you dont have someone to play against.

I agree with you on this. While you have watched X longer than me. I started watching them in the 90's when they were up and coming. I used to have season tickets at X and was a big X fan even though I went to NKU. Once NKU went division 1 it was natural for me to buy season tickets to my Alma mater and currently have season tickets. It is good basketball and fun to watch. Is it Mid-Major amd do the teams have the same caliber players as the big boys...no. But like you mentioned above. Xavier was once in this boat. Horizon is the old MCC anyway. NKU reminds of Xavier back in the day as a growing program. They are starting to win on a more consistent basis. They have a small local TV deal in place with CW, then a couple of games on ESPN (similar to what X had back in the day with Star 64). Can even add UC played in the Big East before the split....so it's hard to bash them if they are winning in their respective league.

This kind of thinking completely ignores the past and is the EXACT SAME KIND OF THINKING that we fought for all of the years we played in the MCC and A-10. Ridiculous and embarrassing
