Not likely owed anything. If he's terminated with cause(highly likely), Lvl is out of any financial commitment. That's one of the reason they put him on leave, 10 day notice required.

Re: Pitino Out - Let the watching begin
Went to the the Kentucky Derby when Pitino was at UK. As we got near Churchill Downs, a flying wedge of state highway patrol cars shut down the expressway, sirens screaming and lights flashing, and made all the travelers pull over. They were escorting a large limo with tinted windows. Everyone in our car thought that perhaps it was the President of the United States , or why would they shut down the entire expressway? Turns out, it wasn't the President at all, but his holiness Richard Pitino. While we were stuck in the resulting traffic mess, parking at the Downs filled up. Never have liked the guy since. But it shows you how much the state of Kentucky would bend over backwards for the guy. I wonder who's bending over now?

All the UC fans/alumni I know are all convinced that it's going to be Cronin.....or maybe that's just wishful thinking on their part?

Not unexpectedly, Coach Pitino decides to go on the offense and has his attorney deliver a breach of contract notice to the U of L.

I predict he will get a nice settlement. UL will feel the need to move on. That is Pitino's leverage.
