Agree 100%, goals for the season have changed. Make the tourney, maybe win a game is what I would consider a success at this point. Our RPI last I saw was 16, with #6 SOS, if we go 21-10 we will be in.
Side note, I hear Leighton Schrand is a dynamo in the open court.

The earlier post had to do with possible surgery to his shoulder for the kid's sake, to have him healthy for his future and to help him perform well for the combines. This injury is major blow for Ed and I pray that he makes a strong comeback.Xavier2005 wrote:the earlier bad news coming post..came true!!!!!
Between the concussion last year and the two injuries this year the young man has more than his share of hard times.
Get well. Mr. Sumner. There are some that think good health is a lot better than winning a basketball game

Always feel bad when an athlete suffers that kind of injury. It's a long road back for Ed. Let's hope he's back next year better than ever. Opportunity now for Goodin. I feel confident in him. Everybody is going to have to step their games up No time to sit around feeling sorry for themselves. SH sure wont Wednesday.

Re: Any word on Ed?
David West's advice to Derrick Rose.
"Listen to the doctors, the physical therapists," West said. "Don't feel sorry for yourself. He has to attack his rehab and get himself going. That's really the only way to be the player you used to be. It'll happen. He'll be fine. He'll be back. And I'll be the first to congratulate him.""Listen to the doctors, the physical therapists," West said. "Don't feel sorry for yourself. He has to attack his rehab and get himself going. No mention of the fact that the "insider information" turned out to be complete garbage? +1. You will get a much better feel for Goodin's future as he plays full time minutes against some of the better teams. It will be interesting to see ES's future. Take note those who never want players to leave early as injuries do derail athlete's career tracks. Clearly, he can rehabilitate in my guesstimate to where he was, but, and a big but, he needs to learn to play with a little less abandonment to protect himself. He's just not physically big enough to take on post players on a regular basis. If he wants to take that pounding, he should add 30 lbs and become a 3 or 4. Anyone hear anymore on his shoulder?bluegrass wrote:Always feel bad when an athlete suffers that kind of injury. It's a long road back for Ed. Let's hope he's back next year better than ever. Agree he needs to get stronger and gain weight, but he will play a 1 or2 in the pros. Certainly not a 4, and highly doubtful he'll play the 3. He's a great kid. I just wish a full recovery for him.thecoach wrote:+1. You will get a much better feel for Goodin's future as he plays full time minutes against some of the better teams.
