JP has the yips at the FT line the past 5 games.
Started the season going 51 for 56 or 91%,
From the St John's game thru the 1H today he is 12 for 21 or 57%.

2H - JP 8 Gtown 5
JP is in one of those zones where he is unstoppable.

Macura with 2 straight horrible shots: 25 footer 7 seconds into the shot clock (air ball), then another of his "horse" scoop shots. That's when he should be pulled. He won't be. Gtown within 4 now with the ball.

Edit: Macura with the Globetrotters t.o. No worries. Just walks down the court. It won't affect his p.t. anyway.

GT on a 9-0 run.
GT goes to a zone which is kryptonite to Xavier.

X is playing their "Red Sea" defense - they part and let Gtown drive down the middle of the lane for easy baskets.

I will be surprised if Ed lasts the rest of the season with the way he gets hammered driving the lane.
He looks like he is beat up.

X will win, This is G-town-they are terrible. 1-5 in BE. Bad shootinIg team and its close. Byron and Sunderman say they can't understand how X struggles on offense with such good players. Perhaps its the sets or something else but offensively, this team is tough to watch. Its mind boggling how many extended stretches they have of not scoring.

I think the droughts are a result of poor shot selection. JP was Exhibit A, shooting a long trey very early in the shot clock, followed by his vintage scoop shot, which he makes about 3.5% of the time. Dan Bonner commented on their shot selection, and even mentioned the worst kept secret in cbb: Blueitt's poor shooting percentage is directly related to it. He recovered nicely after a poor start, which was very important for his confidence going into the Shootout.

I also like Q, even though he is a poor shooter and finisher. He is a strong defender, and gets into the lane at will. He needs to look for cutters, or spot up shooters. SOM is also starting to play better and better each game, and Bernard continues to play consistently well. Thursday is a chance for X to pick up the signature win we lack. They have none, but have at least five more opps. before Selection Sunday, depending on how they perform in the BE tourney.

I feel wonderful for those who wagered on the parlay of X and the over. Thank God for Georgetown.
