Even though it ie early, this is embaressing, they got beat by NKU for Christ sake! Jacking up threes? Bernard? WTF!

NKU not only beat them...they beat them by 22 points,

you qouted the final score...X's final score was 85-56....or 29 points. Never make statements too early.

took them awhile to wake up but when they did, they poured it on.

good to see Gates hit not just one, but a few. we need him to stretch other team's bigs and when he can knock down a few, he can open the lane for ES.

when Bernard is able to knock down a couple three's, that's like bonus ball for X. it's like when Remy would hit a few. wasn't necessarily his game, but he was able to do it at times. i don't expect him to shoot too many. keep getting better defensively, hit the boards on offense, get to the rim, etc.

Providence, G-Town, St. Johns is not a bad 3 game opening stretch in the BE. and we get a week to prepare for Providence. should be a great atmosphere to start the BE season.

Strange that Mack is giving the team 5 days off for Christmas with Providence coming up Wednesday.

If that is the case, I am also quite surprised. I figured the weekend would be all they had off. However, I'm not ready to make a judgement about it because Mack knows the team much much better than any of us could ever hope for. He knows when they need a break and when they need to be pushed. I trust his judgement on this. Keep in mind that when they do return, they can then be 100% basketball until classes resume. This gives them plenty of time for film study, meetings, and to be on the practice floor in preparation for Providence.

I thought Mack said on the WLW interview after the game that the players were returning to X on Christmas night. He remarked that he wished he could give them more time off for Christmas.
