UNI Game thread 11/26/2016

X only had 6 TO's in the 1H.
And Ed had 5 assists and 1 TO. Pretty decent.

Sean picks up 3rd foul...tough call. He was there in time but was in the restricted area.

X is up 26 and JP is diving on the floor like the game is tied.
I'm sure fans of other teams dislike him but I love his play and attitude and so happy he is playing for X.

Nice feed by RaShid to Q.
X needs to keep their foot on the gas.

Bad travel call on Gaston

Mack's version of a victory cigar - Little Stain is in the game.

Solid performance.
Ed and JP lead the way - combine 5-10 from.
Ed has 7 assists, 1 TO and 2 steals
JP as 3 assists and 3 steals
Kaiser played 11 minutes...still needs to get his "sea legs". Think he will play better against North Dakota St.

X crushes them on the boards - 42 to 20 with 15 o-boards.
36-16 on pts in the paint.
X's 3 headed monster at the 5 - Jones,Gaston and O'Mara - play a total of 40 minutes and scored 16 pts and 13 boards. Not too bad.

Best game of the year by far for us! Shot very well, continued to rebound well, moved the ball, played great defense, limited the turnover, and our bigs looked effective today.

Northern Iowa is not a great team, but they are solid, so it was very nice to see us beat a team we should very handily.

We looked like a top 10 team today.

Thanks so much, mumuskie87, for carrying the entire thread for this game. You did a masterful job. I guess the rest of us were all at the game and unable to contribute. Sorry to leave you feeling so lonely. I'm sure many who had no access to TV or radio coverage appreciated your dedication.
