New AD at Purdue. Guess Greg will be at X for a while unless he is interested in Georgia Tech

Saw that. Short stay in Atlanta, I guess it is a move up to a "middle of the Pack Big Ten School" for Bobo.

Not sure what that means for Christopher or about Christopher.

Can't say I think Christopher has handled the Cintas Season Ticket / renovation as well as it could have been handled it. I think he would have been wise to reach out to season ticket holders with options before the decision was made.

The risk of bringing in an outsider to the Xavier Family.

I get that the renovation was needed to stay competitive, but I think Christopher would have gotten the money raise from season ticket holders if he laid out the donation needed for each season ticket holder first to keep their current seats rather than what is going on now, IMHO. Rather than potentially breaking up groups of people that have been sitting together for the better part of 16-20 years. Xavier has done a great job of making the Cintas a unique family environment. Hope this new season ticket strategy doesn't hurt that environment.

Not taking away all the other good that is going on in the Athletic Department right now plus the success of the Mens and Womens teams in the classroom and on the field. For that Christopher should take his share of the credit.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I got a feeling most Season ticket holders don't have any idea right now that they might not have access to their seats next year 2017-2018
Lets say you have really nice seats right behind the scorers table. Under this new system it sounds like you hold no right to that seat. Your Musketeer points are all that matters. If you have a higher amount of points you can choose those seats before the person who has actually sat in them for years.

I had a personal meeting with Greg Christopher to discuss the Cintas plan. While I don't agree with his rationalization that we are doing it because this is the best way that others do it, I was relieved to hear him say that he does not envisioning this being done again any time soon.
Xavier always goes to the NCAA tournament, and almost always makes some noise while there. Projecting anything less than that this season feels like folly--Eamonn Brennan (ESPN Summer Shootaround, 2012)

Season ticket seats at most major programs in basketball and football are granted on a point system. That's just the way it is.

I am a season ticket holder for another universities FOOTBALL program, and have had XU basketball season tickets in the past.(it's a lot easier to arrange to make 6 football games, which typically occur on Saturday's, then it is all the mid-week basketball games, especially when travel is envolved)

I have had several opportunities over the years to move to "better" seats than I now have, but because of developing friendships with the people around us, we have remained in the same seats for over 10 years. I don't doubt that there will be some people that will take this opportunity to move to new seats, but I would still expect that over 90% will make no change. In reality, there are no bad seats in Cintas and I would see little reason for most people to seek changes.

Spot on Harryfe. I am surprised we went as long as we have without a readjustment for points. I believe Butler adjusts every year and I know Indiana does periodically.

well good luck with Purdue Football....Purdue has not been a contender or factor in college football since Drew Brees left the school for the NFL.

FYI only....not that it matters on this point system at Xavier because....I think my points puts me at the 88% level, meaning only 12% are higher than me. Tickets to most NCAA sites for the NCAA Tournament are easily available as MOST sites today are never sold out due to TV and games are all televised. Location Location Location. Last year I ordered by NCAA Tournament tickets thru Xavier and they responded I could have any , repeat any location except the St Louis location...as it was over subscribed to. Of course X was put in to St Louis. The St Louis location was not , repeat not sold out...every session had seats unsold. I actually got lower level seats at St Louis , good seats thru a ticket broker at cost because they could not sell them. Had I got seats thru X they might have been upper level seats at the same price as the lower level seats. If YOU want to go to an NCAA tournament game , in person, tickets will be available...at cost....St Louis was selling seats the day of the games at cost at the arena.
