Re: Makinde London to Chattanooga
agreed commish as well.. tired of everyone saying how big of a loss this is and how talented he was.. fact of the matter is he had two years here to make moves and maybe the bottom line is he just wasn't that good. most of his "showcased talent" came against other teams walk ons. The dude didn't even start on his high school team (granted an exceptional team but still). Get over him. welcome the new guys and I can almost guarantee they will average more than 1ppg.

Re: Makinde London to Chattanooga
I wish Makinde the best.
Interesting to see a HS highlight video. Almost of his shots were from the outside.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPUYM-tyrsM
I believe he entered HS as 6-1 guard and then had a growth spurt to 6-10 so he seemed like he was still a guard in a big's body.
I remember a comment made by Coach Mack on either a pre-game or post-game show w/ Byron and Joe in which Chris said "if Makinde ever gets serious about playing basketball, he has the potential to be really good". May not be the exact quote but that was the gist of it.
And I remember his piano skills on display around the holidays earlier this year.
Look like Chattanooga could be a good situation for him. They have a decent 6-10 big (Tuoyo) that will be a senior next year as Makinde redshirts and they have a good young coach in McCall. Of course, he could leave for a bigger job if they have continued success.

Agreed. Showed great potential early on, then playing time diminished after his epic game against USC. Best of luck ML!

Wish him the best as well. Transfer could have been avoided if Chris used him more. He had plenty of opportunities to play him. B

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Calm down, I and others have said this for a while. Once you see Gaston, Eddie, and Tyrique shoot you will realize he will be missed especially since he had three years. Chris did not realize he was leaving otherwise he would have done different and that is according to my reliable sources.

If he has that much potential would he have gone to Chattanooga?

Re: Makinde London to Chattanooga
While I really liked London some posters point to the USC game for their analysis. Here are his stats for that game - FG 0 for 4, 3pt 0 for 3,FT 1 for 2, Reb 5, Points ONE, assists 1, TO 2, Blocks 1, steal 1 in the 11 minutes he played. That was supposed to be his BEST game. XU was ahead by as many as 37 points so all players played up to their potential. If he becomes more aggressive and engaged in the game he could be a much better player. I wish him well. Go Xavier!
