Isaac Hayes Has Died probably best known for his hit "Shaft", died early yeserday afternoon in Memphis, TN. Hayes was 65. He was Chef, on the animated TV show South Park, but he quit the show in 2006 after an episode mocked his Scientology religion.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Beginning when it hit the pop charts in '72, the Theme from Shaft has been a big favorite of the UC Band. I gotta admit it's a great song, one of those timeless rock instrumentals.
