Not to be too critical of his game, because he made some important shots (a few of which I can't believe found their way into the basket), but CJ had 4 turnovers today. He seemed out-of-sync for most of the game, traveling 3 times if my memory serves me. Other than that, BJ's struggles shooting the ball today, and merely average FT shooting, there's not much to even criticize today. Outstanding effort...StanleyOwnsYou wrote:Drew, DBrown, and CJ were huge.

Great win.Hopefully this puts the Temple debacle to rest.Really stepped up on defense and Drew took over at the end when it got close.I thinkk St.Joe's might be the only real threat now.

I disagree. Although Saint Joseph's is now a front runner, I would not discount Charlotte, Rhode Island and Duquesne. X has five very difficult games left on the road remaining. The easiest, according to Palm, will be @ St. Louis. That is an uphill task.bluegrass wrote:I thinkk St.Joe's might be the only real threat now.

Great thread. Lots of good things being said about a well played road game versus a upper level conference team. I think that X played very well with the lead, and responded when UMass made a run at the end. This is twice in a row that a team (GW and UMass) made a run against X at the end of the game and X held firm. It is a good sign and the result of all the experience that came from playing a tough OOC schedule.

I agree japer. Another thing to consider with the remaining schedule is where we have to play...
at St. Louis
at Charlotte
at Rhode Island
at Dayton
at St. Joes
That's not a cakewalk by any means. It was a good sign that they came through the way they did today but every single one of these teams are going to give X their best shot at home. Only STL is below 100 in the RPI.

Re: I Like This Win
Our team rebounding, especially on the offensive end, has been a major key in our recent 9-1 run, especially today when the 3's weren't falling. Defense and rebounding will win a lot of games when your offense is off. When they are all clicking together, you get games like we've had vs. UVA,
K-State, etc.
K-State, etc.
