I went to high school in New Jersey. This has road trip (likely plane) written all over it. This is a chance to catch up with old friends (those not incarcerated) and to watch X get jobbed by the refs.

That explains a lot! I should have guess with your love of hockey that you are not a native. Give my best to Ann.

Have you eaten at any expensive restaurants lately? love those inside jokes!
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Aren`t the people on this board getting quite arrogant? People are on here talking about play Duke as if it`s a negative because they aren`t as good as they used to be. Are you serious? Come on. We are now scheduling the likes of Duke on our regular season scheudle. Doesn`t that say something? Why must we always look at the negative aspect of things? We`ve gone from having the UC game as our best non-conference opponent, to playing the likes of Indiana, Tennessee, and Duke on our schedule. I applaud the administration and am thrilled that the Muskies are playing such a team.

Yes, we should probably BEAT Duke a few times before we start mouthing off on how they're not as good as they used to be. However good they are or are not, we're still 0-fer against them until further notice.

Fair point on Duke Gary, but at the same time I don't think beating Indiana would have been considered THE highlight (although it certainly stood out and laid the foundation) of a great season.

Beating name teams is great, but watching Xavier take down the likes of Purdue and WVa was even better last year.

But had we lost in the first round to Georgia, or in the 2nd round to Purdue, beating IU probably would have been the "big" win of last season. They're still one of college b-ball biggest names, as is Duke. It's the kind of game we have to win if we're going to back up our claim of being amongst the big boys.

And let's be honest, we're pointing for the Duke game more than Duke fans are pointing for the Xavier game.

If we beat Duke, it will be considered more of an upset (rightly or wrongly) than if Duke beats us.
