are you saying X wasn't contesting for rebounds in the first half? As for size If they only had one 7"2" guy, I would agree but everyone one of SH players is bigger. X has had some good effort rebounding but SH has so far just been more tenacious on the O boards. X was in the game in the first half until Nate missed three threes and went scoreless for extend3ed minutes.pdxmuskie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 8:01 pmI do not agree with Muskieman that size dictates who rebounds. It is certainly an advantage. Find a man and drive him back. You have to want it.
That being said, the rebound numbers were skewed a bit by the 1 sequence at the rim when SH had several rebounds. This can happen when guys focus on stopping the shot from going in. The rest of the game however is simply getting outplayed. A bit of luck too as I did see a few things bounce SH way.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

No, he left the room. I don't care, they're coming back!Sonoma Muskie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 8:10 pmAH, a 9 pt comeback to start the 2nd half. Steele used his secret coaching trick: Write “Swagger” on the blackboard.

Free has a little thuggery in him. Showed the same punk attitude ag UC, who patented thuggery. I could do without that. Ejected. Gets what he deserved. Now SH gets two shots and the ball. I would hate to be Free after the game. Only three cups of ice cream instead of four I imagine.

I agree but when your 3 point shooter is missing shots you must agree that gives the opponent the ability to make runs. Additionally, we have seen Nate become a non-factor at the same time X has had trouble scoring so there has to be some correlation
because the game he hit the threes X was successful.
BTW Zach just made a bonehead play as X was making a comeback and on the positive side, Nate drove and drew a foul.

Down 8, Jones takes a wide-open step-back three. Anyone like the shot except for Steele? Anyone wonder why it was wide open? Anyone think Steele likes chess over checkers?

Zach is out, which is not a bad thing in my opinion. Why is Nate and Kunkle playing together? That is a bad lineup. Really bad. I can only think, Travis is worried X will play well without Zach.

Jones took that 3 because the lineup was trash. Johnson is struggling from 3 for many many games. Kunkle is not dependable either. There were few options so Jones forced the shot.

Edwards in and done some good but a terrible looking three and equally bad looking FT. I hope he can show Travis that he can hang with BE play because we need some more bigs.

Jones putting on a defensive clinic. Wow! I wonder if Edwards would have played a minute more this yr if Frere didn't go "thuggerific". Take note Travis. Giving highly ranked recruits a chance to play ain't a bad thing.
