Can someone please explain why Nunge sat early in that half after carrying the team? Why was Zach left in when he did nothing positive during that stretch? If Nunge was exhausted, I'm cool with the substitution but I doubt that was the situation.
Travis built that deficit with terrible substitution. Absolutely pathetic game awareness.

Re: Seton Hall game thread 2/9/22
Didn't Steele say Edwards is the most physical player on this team, and has been practicing the best in the last two weeks? I wonder if having some physicality would help with the -8 rebounding stat. On a completely unrelated note, I made a quick trip to Graeters and saw Steele's FIL and Christopher eating a banana slip out of the same bowl. Different spoons. Noth that there's anything wrong with it!muskieman wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 7:45 pmDo you really think Edwards is the answer? You claim to have played the game but your analysis is just desperate not knowledgeable. The team is playing hard but Nate is still not a factor and the rebounding is told by the size of the SH players. 10 O rebounds are all contested and many lucky bounces. 7'2" 280 lbs guys are hard to box out

SH had 10 O rebounds to X's 1. No adjustment, like bringing Miles in. Introducing Coach Travis Steele.

I do not agree with Muskieman that size dictates who rebounds. It is certainly an advantage. Find a man and drive him back. You have to want it.
That being said, the rebound numbers were skewed a bit by the 1 sequence at the rim when SH had several rebounds. This can happen when guys focus on stopping the shot from going in. The rest of the game however is simply getting outplayed. A bit of luck too as I did see a few things bounce SH way.

Size helps, but it is positioning more than anything. Colby isn't 7'0" is he? Justin Cage was a great rebounder, as was Charles Barkley in the NBA. That's as simplistic as saying whoever weighs the most will be the best lineman.pdxmuskie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 8:01 pmI do not agree with Muskieman that size dictates who rebounds. It certainly isn't the "throw the spaghetti against the wall" suggestions like some of you guys have proffered. . Take for instance the brillent guy that screams for zone and when X plays a zone he screams for a 1-3-1 and now that the 1-3-1 was played along with the change-up of a 2-3 all SH does is make threes. X needs the guy that can hit the outside shot and until Nate and Adam become threats X will struggle. I wish there was a perfect formula that could make us see the Nate of old.Jesseandrippers wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 7:53 pmmuskieman wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 7:45 pmDo you really think Edwards is the answer? For once, I would love to hear what you think the answer is? All you do is defend the head coach.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

AH, a 9 pt comeback to start the 2nd half. Steele used his secret coaching trick: Write “Swagger” on the blackboard.

A team does not need to make 3s to win. They need to shoot responsibly. Make the 3 a rare shot when you are not shooting well.

Is Tandy still on the team? How does a guy playing so bad like Freemantle stand over a guy laying on the floor. What a vlown
