1700 last year, how many enter the portal this year?

It is too early to know how many men's college basketball players will enter "the portal" this year 2022. However, an article I read said that 1700 college men basketball players entered the portal last year. I am guessing that includes players from all Divisions, not just Division One. The better players in Division two also try to move up.
