LOI day
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: LOI day
today's players have to have their signing at school and both are expected to have that happen as soon as tomorrow. per a couple sources.Anti-Homer wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 10:14 pmNo Tandy or Bishop. I want both, but particularly Tandy. Hopefully, both letters come tomorrow.

Re: LOI day
Losing in the second round as a number one seed, losing the Head Coach, and losing the best players from last year does NOT make players coming in choose that school. Players coming in want some form of stability in a program. X will be re building for several years to come.

What does this have to do with our current recruits signing?Xavier2005 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 11:04 amLosing in the second round as a number one seed, losing the Head Coach, and losing the best players from last year does NOT make players coming in choose that school. Re: LOI day
A....players, just like any other student, choose a school based on a whole bunch of different reasons. I’m sure that if you asked the 5 recruits, that make up this top 10 recruiting class, why they are coming to X, you would get 5 different reasons. Potential for playing time (because of “losing the best players from last year”) would certainly be one reason, I would think. A good relationship with the NEW HC or assistant coaches, would certainly be another. That they were a #1 seed and lost? I remember a Xavier recruit some years back that came and said that he remembered watching X lose a tourney game and saying that if HE had been on that team, it wouldn’t have happened. That was one reason he came to X. If X has anything, they have a stable program. The rumors surrounding Mack before last season were the most unstable thing that has happened in years. I don’t think that anyone is spreading g any rumors about Steele leaving, and I’m sure the players coming in believe that Steele will be there for their whole time at X.Xavier2005 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 11:04 amLosing in the second round as a number one seed, losing the Head Coach, and losing the best players from last year does NOT make players coming in choose that school. B... X will only lose the 3 graduate transfers and will have a top 10 recruiting class coming in next year. That doesn’t sound like rebuilding to me....that’s reloading! This year is just about surviving, while the coaching staff and players develop together. Next year will be about competing for another championship.

Re: LOI day
I completely disagree. I think they have as good a core 7 as anyone in the league, with the possible exception of Nova, and they aren't far behind them. They played a poor game all the way around against a good Wisconsin team, and were one bad call away from being within 3 with 16 seconds to go. They need Goodin to play like pg , and not a 3 point specialist, and Marshall and Scruggs to understand they are very good scorers when going to the hole. Though their shot selection as a whole was poor, Steele ran some great sets.Xavier2005 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 11:04 amLosing in the second round as a number one seed, losing the Head Coach, and losing the best players from last year does NOT make players coming in choose that school. We know he knows how to coach offense. Hopefully, his defensive acumen catches up. He did the best recruiting job in X history with the 3 grad transfers and a very good 5 man class coming next year. Who thought this would be the end result when Boudreaux and Samuels de-committed?
