We,us, etc do not always say thank you for nice things done or great things done by others!!!! Xavier, Xavier men's basketball team as a whole(coaches, players, staff, etc) ....thank you very much for the regular season ride ...it was great!!!! We know it takes a lot of work and effort for all that you accomplished this regular season. There is a lot of work and preparation even before games are played!!!! All your efforts are recognized and we appreciate the ride this year. Will be back later for another thank you about the post season!!!???!!!!

Today is my 67th birthday, and there is no better gift than our first BE championship. I've been a Xavier fan since I was in grade school and my neighbor up the street, Steve Thomas, enrolled. Attending games as a student at Schmidt Fieldhouse was the most fun on campus, despite our dismal record those four years. Living and dying as a Musketeer throughout the years has been a joy through the eras of Staak, Gillen, Prosser, Matta, Miller and now Mack. Winning multiple MCC and A-10 championships was thrilling. But this Big East Championship and the regular season of team 96 has been the best in my 60 years of following Xavier basketball. Now it's time to make this tournament season the GOAT. Go Muskies!!!!!!!
Mark Twain was wrong. Golf is NOT a good walk spoiled. It is a shared personal experience in a majestic wonderland guided by God, whose name is called frequently during the round.

I am extremely thankful for the ride this year at age 66. Per other posts you might know I was a UC Fan & went to most of their games during their 5 straight Final 4 years. My cousin played on 1st National Championship team. I became XU fan during Larkin years & then 20 yrs of season tix before deciding to winter in Fla. Awaiting surgery now & won't let them do it during NCAA Tourney. My best friend Milan passed at age 63 this past summer & he was as big a fan as it gets. He graduated from Bowling Green. He had tix just like me. I talked to him during most games every year since I've been wintering in Florida.
He & I got ecstatic on the phone. I still talk to him during games. Not letting Death mess that up. Thanks readers & writers on the XU forums for entertaining me. Hopefully an Elite 8 or better is on the table. This is too good of a team to lessen some of the memories of this wonderful season. We have won every close game & think we can continue that. Turnovers at end of game worries me. Isn't that what happened vs Wisconsin? Mack has grown as a coach. Players have grown. Doubt our point guards are distracted by NBA thoughts like Sumner might have been. I think this team is heaven bent on beating everybody. Hopefully they don't get blown out because the close ones belong to us.
