Where is everyone staying in Phoenix?

XU suggested the Wyndham as the XU fan hotel, however, they were only taking reservations through the Champion Tours package.

Any other suggestions near the arena?

You may want to check the WVU boards. I'm sure they can get you some info. on a few trailor parks nearby. (just kidding to those sensitive WV fans)...try travelocity.

a few of us recent alums are staying at the hampton inn downtown/mid town. its abt 3 miles from the arena

I can't really offer advice on specific hotels, as I live in Phoenix. However, I can tell you to pay close attention to where you are staying as Phoenix is a HUGE city and it is very spread out. UofPhoenix Stadium (where the Super Bowl was played) is about 20 miles from USAirways Center(Downtown Phoenix). You'll likely want to stay downtown, or perhaps in Tempe.

If you plan on getting around the city at all, you'll probably have to rent a car. It's quite a shame that a city of our size doesn't have anything that can be remotely considered reasonable public transportation.

Hey indymuskie,

I just booked a room at the Marriott Springhill Suites for $190 a night. It's alittle less than a mile to the US Airways arena and has breakfast and airport shuttle included with the room.

At both the Wyndam and Hyatt you had to pay for a shuttle to and from the airport.
