have an advantage, imo...lavender is quick but can be posted up on d...burrell is a tough defender, but when talking about stanley offensive game, the warren commission had better shot selection...ruoff, nicholls and mazulla can handle them and must if wvu is to win...

important for wvu to make lavender pick up his dribble or slow him down when xavier is in transition...xavier shoots better, burrell especially, in transition, and gets duncan, et al, more open inside in a transition game...it is much harder to double-team down low in transition...it is important for wvu to knock xavier out of rhythm...xavier is not as good in a half-court offense...and huggy is good at half-court defense...

wvu likes to run, too, but is more selective at it...an up-and-down game favors the husky muskies...wvu plays outside-in on offense and d'sean butler and alexander are hard to stop one-on-one...when they get double-teamed, they toss the ball outside to ruoff, nicholls, etc., or do a skip pass to the other side...often the guard will throw it right back to someone coming across the lane...

this is made more effective when wvu is hitting from outside...and generally, wvu is pretty good from behind the arch...

i see a good game ahead, contrasting styles on offense...similar style of tough defense...
