Relax...it's good to play anyone outside of the A10

I can see how people feel Georgia poses a threat. SEC team, won 4 games in 3 days, athletic, etc...

X has "struggled" vs teams that know us like the back of their hand. When X plays non-conference games, they play pretty well b/c the opponents don't play us every year, in some cases 2 or 3 times a year, and are unfamiliar with our team, style and personnel. When you're in that kind of situation, a team can be stunned by the variety of ways X has to beat you.
In A10 games, and vs Maimi, OH and UC, for that matter, those teams know us well....and it's rare you're gonna get a big butt whoopin on those teams very consistently.

Look at Butler...the past few years they have beaten BCS oponents more handily than Horizon opponents....their league members know how Butler ticks and can gameplan better for them.

The way things were going, I didn;t think we'd win the A10 tourny....it's good to get out of the A10 and on to fresh meat.

It's a little diferent when A10 teams KNOW Duncan can kill you in and out, that Burrell can singlehandedly stop your O, that Lavender can run run run all night long, that BJ will stroke the lights out, that CJ is a ballet dancer thru the paint, that D BROWN is a freak.......opponents who haven't played us ahve HEARD those things, but will struggle to be prepared for it.

I don't know if I agree or not. Coaches watch hours of tape to prepare their teams for the individual strengths of players and the tendencies of teams. I guarantee you that the Ga coach has practiced with his players not to leave Duncan alone on top like you might other big men and has seen what aggressive perimeter defenses do to the Muskies. Good coaches and teams on the other hand, put wrinkles in their offense to mask those tendencies or, as we have seen in the Muskies' case, rely on other players to step up when one player has been taken out of his game. I don't think our team takes a back seat on talent to Georgia. I think we have also played tough games down the stretch against good opponents. We just need to play a little harder than Ga and want it a little more and we;ll be fine.

This is all you need to know about the SEC and Georgia. 2 of the best teams in the league were Kentucky and Mississippi St. If you saw those teams play prior to SEC play they were flat brutal and I do not think it was coincidence that they both were at or near the top of the SEC standings and it was not because they just got that much better. The fact that they performed well in SEC speaks volumes about the conference and how weak it was this year. The fact that Georgia was 4-12 in that conference tells me all I need to know about the Bulldogs. Xavier will roll on Thursday. If you are doing brackets you need to stay away from picking any SEC team to advance not named Tennessee.

While I agree with this up to a point, there is something to be said about this subject.

Coaches do watch hours and hours of tape but the players have not PLAYED agaisnt us. There is a big difference. The same can be said for X concerning Georgia but I think we are much harder to play agaisnt than they are. One player versus six.

I agree as well.

A coach can try to coach it and give pointers all he wants, but, until you get into battle with these guys and face their speed and tenacity (I hope) you have no idea what the hell just hit you.

I hope Xavier brings it from all six double figure scorers and never looks back while they concurrently lock down GA on defense.
