Anti-Homer give Pazatto his money. As far as Yates he can score but doesn't do much else (2.9 rebounds,1.8 assists and 60 turnovers) I watched most of four USC games and to me he wasn't half the player Claude is .I know why you like K.J. Lewis. He's a Swain clone. Lewi averages 10.8 points a game, 4.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists and can't shoot ( 18% from the three point line )Lewis is the West Coast Swain and finishes with high lite dunks. I would be shocked if we landed Yates, Lewis or Butler. USC, Arizona and Baylor pay big N.I.L. money. We haven't ever landed a big name transfer from a big school. Now is the time but I'm not holding my breath.
Min Pts Reb AST STL BL TO FG FT 3p%
Claude 32 15.8 3.5 4.2 0.6 .2 3.5 48.2 76.4 30.7
Yates 30 14.1 2.9 1.8 1.2 .2 1.8 47.8 79.8
43.9
I probably watched Yates play in parts of 4-5 games, and he is the definition of a true 3-level scorer, as he had a high % in all ranges. He is also a high-volume 3-point shooter (4 a game). Like Claude, he is a bigger physical guard and can spell the PG. He is similar to Conwell in a lot of ways. There will be 40 teams that reach out to him, and I know Xavier did. That guy is worth $1.3M+.
With respect to KJ Lewis, you’re right. I love guys who are elite defensively and who know their limitations on offense. Swain will end up being a top 15 money guy in NIL and a future 1st-rounder, despite his offensive limitations, bc being elite defensively makes him a ++, not unlike an offensively challenged center who averages 4 blocks a game.
I think it's a strong indicator of Swain's value when Miller locked him up 1st before going after Conwell. One caveat regarding Lewis: I only want him if X gets at least three really good shooters/ scorers.
