Re: Coaching Options
Dino Gaudio and Luke Murray today got the Mack treatment. They would be perfect additions to help Steele should he remain next year. Dino with the veteran steady hand, class, and love for X he learned under Skip. Luke . . . Well he brings pops back to games. "Wake up woodchuck, chuckers, it's Groundhog Day!"

For every Scott Drew, there is a Jim Christian, Johnny Dawkins, Brian Gregory, Travis Ford, or Tim Miles all given 4 years or more and sometimes given second chance teams to prove they were mediocre at best. As for on the record, you make a politician blush with your flip-flopping but it goes with your motto "AH supports you win or win."Anti-Homer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 10:43 pmScott Drew, Chris Beard, Jay Wright, Brad Underwood......... Random names. I 'm on record as saying that Steele should get another year, but that statement makes me vomit in my mouth more and more. AH was cursed with two supposed blessings: tremendous charm and a big heart.
Sooo,Always the guy not on the hot seat is better and your proof is he was terrific in the 25th rated conference
You infer from your post that if one coaches in a lowly ranked conference, it somehow invalidates his ability, despite the fact that lowly rated conferences attract lowly rated players, equalizing the playing field. I simply named coaches which clearly contradicts your assertion, then you mock me? For shame.

Re: Coaching Options
Had you been reading my other posts you would not have asked that question. Which is why you are so easily mocked.Anti-Homer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 7:24 pmmuskieman wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 3:09 pmso you name a few guys with success but there are many that failed...just look at Indiana and Archie. I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Coaching Options
Steele is going no where....he will be back at Xavier because.........in 2019 he supposedly received an extension thru 2024 and a raise . That means there are 3 years left on his contract. Not going to buy out 3 years.

Re: Coaching Options
so Wilcher now leaving. This one speaks VOLUMES. Where are the Steele defenders now....????
No Way you can run a program and lose this type of 1st year talent.
Good Lord, there are major concerns now with this program

Re: Coaching Options
Another one on Steele. He decided to play more than Wilcher and now look at us. So Steele has lost six of “his guys”? What a joke

I hear it may not be over. No names, but a fluid situation. Fwiw i would have rather kept Wilcher for several years, and Scruggs not come back. In today's world though that might have been a stretch.

Re: Coaching Options
Me too. Steele can’t develop players and is too enamored with transfers

Dear Lord,
Please tell me you are joking. If true, this tells me all I need to know about Christopher. Probably occurred when Steele's father-in-law, big donor board member allowed Christopher to use his yacht to go whale watching off the CA coast. Not the EC, but WC. If you go whale watching on the EC, you might as well buy a book called West Coast Whales.

Even MMan can’t defend this mess. Heard rumors that Carter might come back, no kidding.
