I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Would help if he played some defense as well. He seemed out of sorts especially defensively yesterday.

Nice that the younger guys can defend and we have the option to go to them for stops. If we needed a stop in a final possession to win, wouldn’t need JP or Tre to be out there. Best defensive team would be Jones, Gates, Marshall, Scruggs and Goodin. IMO

Agree completely. Both he and Tre and tremendous defensive liabilities. JP plays great help defense, but individually, he guards his man straight up and goes for the steal too much. X and Marquette are in the running for worst defensive teams in the conference, with Creighton not too far behind. The difference is X has the athletes to be much better. They've always shown the ability to pressure other teams well, but CM very rarely does it.I could understand it if they guarded well in the half court, but their best D is simply outscoring the other team. If they play Duke in the tourney, it could be a 300 point game.
BTW, on a different more pleasant topic, T Jones played really well, and hit 4 or 5 free throws in o.t., after missing a lot in regulation. Scruggs continues to develop well also.
