Maybe so but it was damn hard on my nerves.
We were driving all day so I had to listen on the radio. Nerve racking. I missed one of my turns.❎

Why?

In addition, there is a difference between "expecting" to do something, and thinking it's a failure if one doesn't. Based on past XAVIER history, it should not come as a surprise when X does make it into the tourney. However, as they say, past history is no guarantee of future results. There are darn few other college BB programs that have had the successful history of getting into the tourney that X has had, so it can easily be said that X has actually overachieved in comparison to the average. At this point, if we want to base our expectations on what COLLEGE BB history shows us, we should really expect that X is due for a down year or two and missing the tourney some year(s) should be expected, and not a reason to deem a season a failure.

I certainly hope that we X fans never get to the point of many fans of the "blue blood" programs that feel that anything less than a F4 or NC is not living up to expectations, a failure, and a reason to fire coaches. We should stay humble and celebrate EVERY tourney appearance and all tourney success for what they are....
