Just get Direct TV and dump whatever S*** Cable operator you currently have. It takes months sometimes years of petty bickering between these Networks like CSTV and the G**D** Cable operators to carry these channels. If you get Direct, it seems that whatever new channels come along for Sports like CSTV and the Big 10 Network you get them automatically. I feel your pain. I myself went two seasons with no NYY baseball on TV because that scu*b*g Charles Dolan tried to extort twice the price per subscriber from the ballclub under the guise of "looking out" for all his loyal subscribers not interested in watching sports on TV.

I believe this was on a previous post, but you can watch CSTV on the internet. Go to http://www.channelsurfing.net. Scroll down to the CSTV link.

That is true in principal, but my understanding of the deal is that other than the conference championships CSTV gets first cut at its games and ESPN gets whatever is left over. And even when ESPN gets games, they have tended to be on ESPNU which frankly is just as bad as CSTV. I hate to use the term, but it's true -- Linda Bruno negotiated a mid-major TV deal for the A-10. And we're only in the 2nd of the 5-year deal, so get used to it...

ESPN actually gets first cut of the games, however the # of games they want to show has declined over the years. Not because of Linda Bruno but because of the overall attractiveness of the A10.
ESPN is showing 6 A10 conference games, only one of which is on the U (St. Joe's-Temple). The other 5 games on ESPN/2 have Xavier, St. Joe's, UMass, SLU twice and RI and Fordham once. A game involving Dayton was not attractive to ESPN at the time the games were set.
CSTV was the best alternative and even they are only televising 7 conference games nationally.
I'm sure all involved with the A10 want as many games as possible on ESPN, but they need to want us on, so we have to take what we can get.
CSTV is not a mid-major network anymore than the A10, Mt West or CUSA are mid major conferences, which are the conferences that CSTV has focused on. ESPN wants to show pretty much all-BCS, all the time except for a small smattering of top-level matchups involving teams outside the BCS.

OK, here's the deal...if I really want CSTV living in NKY I have to subscribe to the extended packagewhich is a measley $8 extra a month...but as a season ticket holder it doesn't matter because only one of the 5 games on CSTV is away from the Cintas...but what you people are not getting from my original post is the fact that:

CSTV IS A WORTHLESS SH!T NETWORK THAT IS BURIED UNDERNEATH A BUN CH OF OTHER WORTHLESS NETWORKS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC DOESN'T HAVE IT, SO THEY DON'T GET TO SEE THE GAME...WHICH EQUALS EXPOSURE YOU IDIOTS!!! THAT IS WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT NOWADAYS...EXPOSURE!

Read into a thread from time to time and stop answering things so friggin literally. CSTV sucks, having an extended contract with the netweork does not help XU, it is another hurdle to get to the next level, DO NOT DEFEND IT, if you do, you accept the term MID MAJOR. Damnit!

Are you a troll, a douche or is it just you that doesn't get it ??
What is your solution ?? And don't say sign a deal with ESPN, because they do not want the A10 anymore than they have them. I know, FSN Ohio should be televising this game. But who does that help outside of the state of Ohio ?? What network shoudl this game be on ?? Anyone else out there that televises college basketball ??
CSTV provides much more EXPOSURE than FSN-Ohio. It is a national network on virtually all cable (or at least all I'm aware of like TW, Comcast) and satellite systems. CSTV is no different than all the other "specialty" sports networks (NBA-TV, VS, ESPNU, B10 Network, etc.).
Thursday's game is a big game, bigger than anyone thought before the season started (or anyone at ESPN anyway). It is on national TV (I agree that it is not mainstream national TV), but if it wasn't being televised by CSTV, it would be on FSN-Ohio only.

SM 24 is correctomundo.

Expecting all A10 games YOU want to see to be on free network or standard cable channels is just wishful thinking. Who outside Dayton and Cincinnati wants to see this game? Who wants to buy ad time?

CSTV is not a Sh*t network if the alternative is either no network or a network where the league has to pay to have the games broadcast, as was the case in the past. Unless you can find sponsors or can drive viewership numbers, no chance. If enough viewers sign up and watch the game, then things change; but slowly, not as fast as Mr. Hotpants wants.

People here in Columbus feel the same about the Big 10 network.

MusketeerNDH, you might want to work on your persuasion skills. I wish all of our games were on CBS, ESPN, or ESPN2 as well. But that's just not realistic. I also don't like the CSTV broadcasts.

But I live in LA and I have seen all but 2 games this season. And I heard both of those on the radio. So it could be a lot, lot worse.
