I'm sure he knows this already--as most 6th grade cyo coaches do.X Factor wrote:Anti-Homer wrote:This team will be in the NCAA tourney only if we adopt a Villonova-Marquette style offense this year.xufan2434 wrote:The thing that Kenny has been missing his entire career so far is the competitive drive. Yeah, that was quickly outta my head after his freshman year and early soph.. If this is true then its great because lets face it, this team this year is only going to go as far as he takes em because there is no other true center.. I think great guards can carry a team but if Jamel and Kenny don't play focused and energized the whole year, then its going to be rough
Why don't you hurry up and let Coach Mack and Coach Kelsey know about this. I'm sure they'll be happy to hear this awesome news.
Kenny will average about 12 and 8 this year. I have faith in Kenny.

Answer: Yes, absolutely. Particularly at that age. Competitive drive, etc. kicks in for different people at different times and people can absolutely change 180 degrees, particularly in college.Pierre Dracot wrote:A corollary (a proposition that follows with little or no proof), a "given," is that his first two years at Xavier were almost a complete waste due to lack of seriousness and effort. Question: Are people capable of changing that much (180 degrees)?

Based on the box score Frease had a strong game in summer league the other night. Yes it is just summer league but combine that with the reports on how hard he has been working this summer and the evidence begins to mount up. Looks like Kenny will produce this season and the Muskies will have another strong year.

General question on summer league performance: Is it competitve enough to make the stats comparable to college games?

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Yancy Gates was 1-11 from the field and 1-3 from the free throw line for three points and got popped by his own teammate (Paul McMillan). Looks like he's ready for a big season for the Bearkittens.
