Re: Marshmallow Minded Fans
They blew a 14 point lead and got themselves down 7. Did they lose the game? No. Did I say they lost the game? No. I'm glad your attitude is just pure roses. I watch the game and make comments as I see it being played. As far as your belief that game threads are meant just for score updates....then I guess that means the other dozen people or so making comments are wrong too. So don't call me the one looking stupid. A chat board is a chat boad. We applaud good play and get mad at the bad. Sorry that bothers you so much

I always forget the preferred approach-
If we win, it's because we're Final Four material.
If we lose, we should go "oh well', say it's just as good as a win, or give 19 reasons why lost, and move on.
I'll get it at some point.

Re: Marshmallow Minded Fans
As I watched the game I thought the same thing Gary, how the f*** could X blow this game after a nice halftime lead?? Where is the heart? Why is Hammer playing so out-of-control?? Where is CJ?? The only difference is I didn't give up on them and start screaming "way to blow it." I completely agree its a reaction to whats going on and its natural.
I watched Sean during a t.o. redfaced, screaming at the guys and unlike Temple and ASt they listened and did something about it. Josh Duncan has taken his team back and basically won this one down the stretch.
On a side note, my buddy was at the game and watched a couple people leaving their courtside seats with 1:51 to go. He asked them why they were leaving and they said, "traffic." What f***ing so-called fans leave this big of a conference game, with the score so close to beat traffic?? Give up your seats to someone who actually gives a ***** and don't ever come back.

Uh, yeah, you did.BlueBlob wrote:They blew a 14 point lead and got themselves down 7. Did they lose the game? No. Did I say they lost the game? No.
You didn't say they blew a LEAD, you said they blew the GAME.
If you say they blew the game, that would mean that they did lose the game.
Quit trying to reinvent your comments and live up to them like a man, or a blob.
Then again, since you are a blob, I guess you'll just change the shape of things as you see fit.
PAY THE MAN!!!!

Normally I save my venom for UD fans. I find it funny that I have to get in to it with a Xavier fan on a Xavier board, after a win no less. your attempts at insults are sad at best. keep up the nice work.

X turned potential "tragedy" into triumph today and against SLU...and for that they deserve a lot of credit. I think we have all watched it go the other way over the years.
Great two games.

Re: Marshmallow Minded Fans
I don't know how many, or if any posters lived through the 3-23 season. Talk about frustrating, to win only three games in a season. But, there we were, the true blue X fans, watching and waiting for the season to turn around. But, it didn't, and yet we were still there, singing our songs, cheering our cheers, and knowing that it will change. We would have taken a one point win, any points, just to have a win. A made free throw drew a standing ovation. But, you know the rest of the story. Crying about a one or two point WIN. Ridiculous!! Guys, a win is when you score more points than your opponent. One point, or a hundred, it still goes in the stats as a W. And that's what sports are all about. A loss, still one point will do it. Stay the course. There are more W's than L's in our Muskies future.

I don't see anyone giving credit to St Joe's for putting X's players in the tough situations they were in that caused us to make mistakes. Give credit to a fine opponent. I wouldn't want to play them in the first round of the NCAA tournament. I was at the game and though they fell behind, I never really felt that they were out of it. It was an exciting game to witness, escpecially at the end.

Re: Marshmallow Minded Fans
These close regular season games won't mean a thing in a couple weeks. Come tourney time, it's Final Four or bust.
If we don't make it that far, the season is an absolute failure and no one will remember today.
Time to think big.
