If you ask me to choose the better defender then i'll take Burrell. I've never seen a Xavier player shut down other stars quite like he has. Cage was a great defender, but he was asked to guard players that were much quicker than him and at times it showed. However, if you ask me which player I would take in terms of all-around play i'd take Cage over just about any former Xavier player. He gave everything he had each and every time he played and did whatever was needed. If the team needed him to score, he scored, if they needed him to rebound, then he rebounded.
