I don't understand why millersdad and sweet16 would choose to bang on Stanley 2 days before Xavier plays in the Sweet 16.

Xavier wouldn't be in the Sweet 16 without Stanley and the team seems to be doing just fine with the way they are playing offense.

Here's an idea; quit worrying about Stanley's offense and support him by cheering your butt off for him and the team Thursday night.

I think Stanley will have a good game Thursday. It probably won't be good enoughfor you guys.

Fo those that wonder who should take the last shot with 1 second, I think the better question is who passes the ball to that person to set up that shot and my answer is Drew or Stan. Stan has taken a page out of Drew drive and dish this year and has had a great year passing the ball to the guy who takes the big shot. BTW

Seems Stanley had it when the time was the toughest and came through with flying colors. Assists and steal. From behind to in front to stay.

Nobody needs to defend Stanley, his leadership, defense and entire body of work this season speak for themselves. Millers real Dad would agree that the guy calling himself Millersdad and Sweet16 are idiots.

Sweet, Stan's 4-20 from the floor. You can't "exclude" layups. Why not "exclude" dunks? Why not "exclude" breakaway baskets? How about "excluding" any wide-open shot? Heck, let's award points for degree of difficulty!
I'm pretty sure layups count the same as a 15-footer, and I'd RATHER have a guy shooting layups. It's a high percentage shot.

It's hard not to attack millersdad because (1) he's obviously NOT Miller's Dad, so why adopt the screen name?, and (2) he's an idiot, and most of the posters seem to agree with me on this.

millersdad is still pissed Wolf's not on the team, so he takes shots at all the other guards. Stan's not a perfect player, but he's been a huge help to X this year. Would I like to see him score a little more? Sure. But we're in the Sweet 16 with what he's given us so far. If we lose a game because Stan shoots 1-16, then go after him.

Now now, you have argued before not to take things out of context nor spin "certain words" to make a point and that is exactly what you're doing here. The basic premise behind my comments is specifically how Stan has performed in NCAA games. And furthermore, specifically how he has shot from the field as it relates to potential defensive strategies. Clearly Stan has demonstrated an unwillingness to take open shots and the shots he has taken he has missed. Now, recognizing that our 2 guard will either pass up open shots or not make the ones he takes how would you guard him and conversely what would you do offensively to counter that? Again, this isn't a smear on SB.....I love what he brings to this team but his offensive deficiencies can be exploited.

And by the way, if you want to beat up on Millersdad that's of no concern to me.....I have no dog in that fight.

I bet is they decide not to guard Stanley he will make them pay. Huggins probably is in a dilemma here because he knows that Stanley can score the ball if unguarded.

Burrell Makes me nervous when he has the ball. I cannot deny this no matter how much I try.

Until you make the front page, shut your traps. We have six offensive weapons. We play very well offensively, when Burrell plays great defense - and that is what he does.

(1) Thanks for keeping things on track, and not any more personal than they have to be.

(2) None of us is arguing that Stan will be confused with Allen Iverson offensively, and, yes, we'd all like to see him drop in a few jumpers. But when looking at his offensive performance, it's just not fair to take out his FT's and his "layups" and only count 15-footers or 3-pointers. Points are points, no matter how you get them. And if Stan can give the team his average (just under 10), we should be OK. Any more than that is gravy, wouldn't you say?

And there's no point in looking at what he did last year in terms of what he'll do this year, any more than Josh is the same player he was last year (clearly he's much better).

Based on Stanley's performance in the NCAAs last year and the potential of Graves and Jackson's hype, I was thinking there was a better than even chance he would not be in the starting lineup this year. I was almost a bit disappointed when he was announced in the first game.

However, he quickly won me over with his tenacious defensive play and the fact that he was playing within the offense and making good passes, something he wasn’t necessarily doing last year. Go Stanley – all the way to the Final Four!
