X playing Tennessee? Did I miss something?

I don't get it either -give up your seats because Lyons leaves or is asked to leave? You must be kidding. I hope they do give up their seats. We don't need fans like that. I, too, will be in my seats as long as I can afford them and am able to get there.

I thought they did return the visit and beat us at the Cintas? Did I dream that?

We lost to Tenn at the Cintas in December '07, but I can't find a game at Tenn before or after that. I was sure that Pearl backed out of a game and scheduled G'town or somebody like that, but I could be wrong.

We lost at Tennessee in the 04-05 season.

That was before Pearl ever showed up. He came along the following year.

Then he didnt return the game until the 07-08 season.

I haven't enjoyed watching X the last couple years because they haven't played as a team. I don't mind losing some games but watching selfish and undisciplined basketball is not fun. When guys force the action rather than working the ball around for a good look or take the tough shot instead of dumping the ball off to an open teammate it is incredibly frustrating. As long as X plays like that I will not go out of my way to watch them.

The team should be more fun to watch this year but you never know.

I think the corelation is the Vols were coached in the first game by Buzz Peterson and not Bruce or Buzz Williams. Peterson was canned and ended up at UNC Wilmington where former Xavier castoff Johnny Wolf played after transferring. I guess a some degrees of separation was played. But no, this has nothing to do with the series.
