Kudos Q, couldn't have said it better. Some people relish denigrating others to compensate for their own failures.

Think so? I was a fan of Reggie Butler and his effort but I don't remember him putting up numbers like Stainbrook has put up. I think Stainbrook will be a much better player. He is more skilled and he'll have another year of strength training and conditioning. He will play this coming season against some some pretty good players in practice every day while learning about the offensive and defensive schemes. I think he'll be able to exploit some match-ups in some games. In saying these things, I'm counting on him to take his conditioning seriously.

in spite of vitrole that Kenny received at time from segments of the Xavier nation in his speech at tonight's dinner he got emotional when he said: “I just feel thankful to be part of Xavier nation,”
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

My original point was that this WMU guy needs to lose a few pounds and get in shape. This coaching staff couldn't get Frease to totally buy in, what makes you think they will get this guy to? I hope they can.

Just find it amusing that this was in paper this morning. See Shannon's blog and the portion on Frease.

I get Frease's comments. I've had jobs where I didn't like my boss at the time, or the job itself sucked, but I look back on the time itself more fondly because (1) it was part of my life, (2) I undoubtedly made some close friends during that time, and (3) I learned some lessons from it.

I feel like Frease (and most big men) says things like this after every season. They want to get in better shape, they want to add more to their game, etc. Best of luck to Kenny in the future.

I've seen him play in person...he missed 2 free throws with like 1 second left on the clock to lose the game against UB. He's very big and has a solid post game, but he's slow and unathletic (it didn't look like he could even get high enough to dunk)

As I've said, this is an interesting pickup for X, and we won't know for another 18 months or so if it was a good move or a bad move.
